Hello - I'm working on a project to add maps to all Kansas cemeteries at Findagrave. Since you submitted a photo of the grave marker, can you provide detailed directions or GPS coordinates to the Kellys Cemetery indicated in the memorial for Washington C. Yoakum, # 8948661 ?

|Brad Melton||Pvt Joseph Elmer Yoakum|
Vivian: Do you know who Mr. Yoakum's parents were? I'm researching former Taney County, Missouri slaves and their descendants. Two of those individuals, Isabelle and Benjamin Yokum (and all its various spellings) settled in Greene County Missouri after Emancipation and had a son, John, who died in 1952. I believe Joseph Elmer Yoakum had a brother, Lewis Frank in Greene County and I'm trying to discover any connection between these two families. Your help is appreciated. Brad Melton, Taney County, MO (firstname.lastname@example.org)
|John Howser||Albert Elmer Son|
The above named son of John William Son, buried in the Eldon, MO Cemetery is listed with the wrong first name here on your addition to Find A Grave. You have it as Eldoner.....well, that is the town where he lived, not his first name. His name is as above:
Albert Elmer Son.....who is my grandfather. Can you please correct the first name on Find A Grave.
|Nancy Yoakum||Alice Hunt Yoakum|
I am trying to get to the bottom of a lingering question. In my family tree I have Alice Hunt Yoakum married to Franklin Abiya Yoakum and they are both buried at Mt. Municie Cemetery in Lansing, Leavenworth Co., Kansas. I have several census records that show Alice was married to Franklin Yoakum. Your find-a-grave records show her being married to Norton Yoakum and both of them buried at the Leavenworth National Cemetery which is right next door to Mt. Muncie Cemetery. Do you have any records about their marriage?
|Patty Harrison||RE: Bernice Roderick|
Hi my grand mother was Cora Roderick she was married to Alfred Pscherer . My uncle was william Roderick. I have much more info on the family. Some how we are related. I never met my father side of the family. Please contact at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
|Tom Shearer||John George Shearer|
John George Shearer was my great-grandfather. His son, Harvey F. Shearer, Sr. was my grandfather and my father's name was Harvey F. Shearer, Jr.
I have attended many family reunions and visited most of the graves of my ancestors in both Texas and Mississippi. While I take no offense at being called Jewish, my entire family is either Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Methodist or Christian Scientist. Harvey F. Shearer, Sr. was a Pentecostal Minister who travelled Texas and opened churches from Texarkana to Corpus Christi, before settling in Bay City, TX.
The above is all fact and I would find it fascinating to hear about how the conclusion that the Shearer's were Jewish (might be fun) was arrived in a logical fashion.
|A.C. Rogers||James Yoakum Memorial|
I have posted a general picture of Richmond Cemetery in response to your request for a tombstone photo. Three surveys of the cemetery have been completed in the past and none found a tombstone for James Yoakum. I also checked the Ray County tombstone records and I could not find him listed in any other Ray County cemetery.
Please remove the photo from Caroline's memorial. It was taken by me and permission was not granted to use it. Thanks
