I have been into family tree research for almost all of my life. Finding the stories behind the data is what makes it important. Recording those for family members I will never know is my modest legacy to the family. I have put down on paper(and electronic file) things that would have been lost without my efforts so I feel a sense of accomplishment. Even if only a very few of the family sees any value to my efforts, its the generations yet unborn that will value my work.
