Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always loved cemeteries. The stones are beautiful works of art.

I began working on my family tree a couple of years ago to put an end to the myths that I was raised with. We are 100% German, well... really we are about 50% German and 50% Irish. We were millionaires until Gussie died and she "Willed" all the money to 20 different charities. Well... she did give all the money to charities, but it was around $150,000. Which is a lot of money! So, I have been hooked on genealogy ever since.

The names I am working on are Kramer, Jeschke, Kleinschmidt, Kister/Keister, Pierce, Kelly, Rochford and Smith. All from Clinton County, Iowa.

Coats, Keys, Smith from Randolph Co., Indiana.

McCambridge, Blair, Houck, Gonterman from Macoupin Co., Illinois.

Simpson, Chrisman, Bates and Rogers from Wayne Co., Kentucky.

Linck and Keller from Wheeling, West Virginia.

RE: august jeschke
Thank you for your kind words. It is worth noting that the milestone of 1 million graves has been reached representing about 1/3 of the current population of Iowa. We have about 75,000 graves for Clinton County which is about 50% greater than the current population of Clinton County. That would suggest that if we could match Clinton County statewide, there would be about 4 1/2 million graves listed. Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could achieve that.

Of course, you may use my photos. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have chosen a different line of work ;) Janis
