I am 47 yrs young, Widowed Mother of 2 children, boy 21 and girl 18. |
You have to have faith to progress in life. Dig deep for your roots. You never know just with whom your lines might tangle with.
MANY THANKS TO jrrmr910 For sponsoring my Dad, Kenneth Wayne Johnson Sr. Brother, Kenneth Wayne Jr. and Mothers', Sue Kathryn Robinson Johnson pages. It is much appreciated.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE USE THE EDIT CORRECTION TAB ON THE TOP RIGHT OF EACH MEMORIAL PAGE TO GET CORRECTIONS DONE QUICKER!!!!! This new system to edit basic information is causing confusion: Click on your contributor Tools, then click on the Edits Tab at the top and you will find suggested edits to your memorials. Please check this periodically to make sure all edits get processed.
My main lines of research are Johnson and Robinson(ROBERSON/ROBERTSON) from Alabama/TN/GA. My secondary lines are Russell(AL), Cowan(AL/TN), Hammon(AL), Crow, Brown and Barnhart(OH) JUST to name a few.
Then on my late husband's lines I am searching for: Carroll and Burkhalter as his main lines. Secondary for him are: Lawlis, Rylee, Bare, Logan, Garvin and Lockett. Most are from Texas.
Then on my children's paternal side, I am researching Patterson, McKay, Deen and several others.
So if you might be researching any of these lines, shoot me an email and lets chat.
I have several more adopted family members I am also researching. So many names are of interest to me.
If I have made a memorial for your loved one, I am more than likely willing to transfer them to you AS LONG AS YOU TELL ME HOW THEY FIT IN YOUR FAMILY LINE GOING BY FIND A GRAVE RULES ON ASKING FOR A TRANSFER.
"How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me? First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree. Second, Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." I do not appreciate transferring a memorial just to find out you deleted it and started a new
I will gladly add your information to the memorial to update it. PLEASE SEND YOUR MEMBER # WHEN ASKING FOR TRANSFERS!!!!!
I am willing to do Wichita County TX and Cotton County OK at least.

Thank you for attempting to photo Maggie's marker. I have sent an edit request to the "owner" of the memorial suggesting that they post a note on Maggie's memorial stating a Find A Grave volunteer found no marker -and, thus, people won't continue to request photos. Thank you for your time and effort.

Kathy, I see that you put up the picture from the newspaper of Katie Rice Butler, Find A Grave Memorial# 61608576. It looks like it was taken from the newspaper obit. Would you have a copy of this obit, and would you please email a copy to me? My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks so much.

Awesome. I'm actually originally born in Mangum, OK and grew up in Texas. A lot of my Father's side of the family was based in Vernon. I ended up in Hartselle as a result of my job but found out I had related family out here as well. So yes, small world.
I do have some requests in for other Pearcy's in Vernon. Like 4 right now. I have no info on exactly where they are at or anything. I may put in some more as well.
I appreciate your help and let me know if I can return the favor for anything in this area.
