My interest in findagrave started when I worked on a family tree for my husband. We found some of his relatives and where they are buried through this site. It was comforting to look at their headstones and imagine what life was like for them more than 200 years ago.|
I would like to thank all the volunteers for their time and effort in photographing and documenting the grave sites. I was so impressed with their work that now I am a volunteer and I enjoy spending my free time at the cemeteries documenting headstones of which some, unfortunetly, will be totaly unreadable in a few years.
In photographing cemeteries I noticed some of the older, hard to read headstones have been scratched to try and make out a name or date. I DO NOT alter the headstones in any way, instead, I take several photos from different angels to try to read them.
If you find any mistakes, please contact me. I am not perfect and do make mistakes and when they are pointed out to me I gladly make the correction.
Any photo from a cemetery that I've posted at Find-A-Grave may be used for family trees, personal use, etc.

Thank you for the flowers for Grandma Franklin! Very nice. She was one feisty, unique lady and many of her interesting quotes/sayings have been passed down. It starts like this: " Like Grandma Franklin used to say . . . " and it gets interesting and funny from there. We never tire of it. Thank you so sweetly, Nancy --proud to be her GG Granddaughter.

Thank you so much. Okay, you taught me something! I'm pretty new so I didn't think of that. Thanks so much. Best Regards, Nancy

I really think they are two different people. I'm not absolutely certain though. I know that isn't much help. Sorry.

thank you kindly for posting my mom grave stone and my dads xoxoxo
Thank you , I will take a look, just never know, hey? There is a book written on the Cantrells; unfortunately the author was a wee bit over ambitious and tried hard to make facts where there were none. I am searching for Isaac Cantrell(died abt 1826) father of Malinda Cantrell Forrest. Way to many Isaacs'. Again thank you so much for the response.
