I began working on my family tree in 2008, picking up where my father left off. He did not have the resources of the Internet but still managed to collect a lot of family pictures and data. I have combined his information with a genealogy of my Mother's family published by a cousin and have added much more that I have found on Ancestry, MyHeritage and other websites. This work has led me to reconnect with cousins that I had lost contact with years ago, plus I found some 6th cousins that I didn't know existed. One of my greatest surprises was to find that my paternal Grandfather's heritage was Quaker. It's a good thing that I'm retired, because this hobby is consuming a lot of my time.
