Please do not send links or info unless you have source of information and send that source with the info. No source no updates.

Find a Grave transfer guidelines are:
Transfers go to family members who fall within four generation guidelines. That is your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Please state your relationship when asking for a transfer using the EDIT TAB in the memorial. TRANSFERS ARE DONE THROUGH THE MEMORIAL ONLY AND YOU MUST GIVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED, AND YOUR FAG ID NUMBER! "THEY WERE FAMILY," IS NOT THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO YOU. Non-direct relatives such as aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are not required to be transferred. Also, I could also be related to the deceased and may not make the transfer.
IF YOU DO NOT STATE THE RELATIONSHIP, YOU WILL NOT GET THE TRANSFER.
This is not because I want to keep the memorials myself; this is to get the memorials to the close family.
We make an effort to never to turn down a request to family. We'd like to see them all go to their families.
But again, no relationship stated -no transfer.
Be patient, sometimes it takes a while.
Thank you, in advance, for any data sent to update the memorials, please remember to send the source for the information that you want added to the memorial.
Please do not send an obituary unless you wrote it.

RE: The Byrd family
Thanks Blue Rose. You have an H. Rice listed at Center Point Cemetery with a birth date the same as my grandfather Herschel Rice. I never found a marker for his grave. You have the birth and death date the same. I'm wondering if you found a marker. He died in 1917. He was a conductor on a street car in Atlanta and was struck by a car and killed when he stepped off the back. My grandmother was left in Atlanta with 4 children and no income. She spent all she had to have his body sent back to Lafayette and he is buried near his father James Nelson Rice. She didn't have any money left for a marker and had a very hard time surviving.

The Byrd family
Hi, I just sent in a request to link some family members. I'm related to most of the Rices in Lafayette Cemetery but my Father and Cecil Byrd were born the same year and were good friends. I posted pictures of Cecil in the Navy on his memorial page. I remember him, Dan and Anna Ruth as we always visited them when we came to Lafayette. Anna Ruth married Ennis Harden and Ennis and his brother Oscar operated the Texaco service station in East Atlanta. We always got gas, tires and batteries there. Anna Ruth is buried with the Harden family in the Hardeman Primitive Baptist church Cemetery in Dekalb County. The others are at Lafayette but my grandfather Herschel Larkin Rice is further north in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery and there is no marker for his grave. Thanks for all you have done in your Findagrave contributions. Grant

If you go to Memorial #18934426 you will find my Paternal Great-great Grandfather, who was married to Mary Polly Abercrombie. You have a memorial for his dates, spouse, but wrong name, Robert! So my memorial for Great-Great Grandmother Mary Polly Abercrombie now says Robert was her husband! I've been trying to edit my memoria for her, but haven't been able to get it to work. :(

I realize I'm not within 4 generations, but my Daddy passed away in 2010. :(

Betty Mayo Johnson
Dorothy M Mayo memorial
Blue Rose,

I have not been working on my genealogy for sometime due to several ongoing family health issues, including my own.

I had already made the memorial to my mother when I found yours. As you can understand my emotions when I put Moms memorial on and I was not looking for someone else to have done it so quick. I went back to your memorial and found no exact spot to request a transfer and looked today and saw several others having the same problem. I have requested transfers from others in the same way I did you and had no problem.

Please just delete yours as I have put pictures and links to others to her family on my memorial to her and will be linking her to my dad who we buried yesterday. I am requesting a transfer for his memorial as someone has already put him in even before we buried him.

Thank you for your help and for the work you do.

Kimberly Duncan Lord Memorial# 111229934
Kimberly was my Wife; we have children and grandchildren together. My Find A Grave member ID # is 48473649

I see that you have posted "TRANSFERS ARE DONE THROUGH THE MEMORIAL ONLY AND YOU MUST GIVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED, AND YOUR Find A Grave ID NUMBER! "THEY WERE FAMILY," IS NOT THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO YOU. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR A TRANSFER FROM THIS PAGE."

However, I do not see a place in the memorial to ask for transfers. Please, either point me in the right direction for this task or please transfer my wife’s memorial to me, Thank-you.
