Jacob and Elizabeth Corpening I came across this when I was trying to find the cemetery which your family is intered. You may want to check the validity...it does not look like anyone will be able to photograph for you. God Bless you!
1) Jacob Corpening, his wife Elizabeth (Whitener) and others are buried in the "Harris-Corpening" family cemetery that was destroyed during the construction of the Morganton-Lenoir Airport in Smoky Creek Township. The graves remain there, but the tombstones are held by one of their descendants in a private location. I do not know the name of the descendant.
Samuel and Margaret Small at my 3xGreat Grandparents. I saw their graves while visiting the old Union Baptist Church Cemetery today and checked to make sure they have a memorial. Just wanted to say hello and see if we're related.
RE: Smith Ancestors I'm glad I could help. A lot of nice people all over the country have helped me so it's nice to be able to give back in some way. It's just neat that you can live in Rhode Island and get pictures of graves in South Carolina without leaving your home. I've had people out in Oregon take pictures for me!
Hey There Yes, Findagrave has been a great site for me too. A bunch of volunteers have photographed loved ones graves in California for me, I live in Massachusetts. It's great that people do that, that's why I became a volunteer too, I just wish I had more time to get more pictures photographed for people, hahaha
Hey Brenda I just noticed that you added a picture on a relative of mine's site, but it was the wrong name, you added a picture of the stone on a Zoel Alfred Choquette's site, but it was really for a different Zoel Choquette in that cemetery. If you notice, the dates are off, I added the picture to the other site, if you want me to delete it so you can add it to get the credit, I will. But if you don't mind, can you please delete the photo, because it's not letting me delete it. Thank you so much. ~Amy
Sorry for the slow reply. I was out of state, Florida to be exact and I'm still trying to get caught up. I'm glad my postings were helpful to you. Most of the Fergusons buried in Harmony Baptist cemetery are related to me. I am the great grand son of John and Nancy Ferguson who are buried there. By the way, if you know of anymore Ramsey graves you would like a picture of in York, Chester counties in SC or maybe Gaston county in NC let me know. I'm tromping through all sorts of cemeteries doing my own family research and it would be no problem for me to make a stop and pop off some photos. I took the photos you found in an attempt to aid someone else who is related to a family of Ramsey's from York and Cherokee counties in SC. Do you have any Ramsey relatives from that area of SC? If so, can I give this person your email address?
