I was born in 1966 in France, where I settled in July 2013 after many years abroad (PR China, Saudi Arabia, USA and Algeria). So far, one of my passions has been traveling, and while living in San Francisco, CA, I started taking pictures of filming locations, the goal being to compare current locations to what they were in movies... Grave hunting? It's my main activity when I'm on holiday! :-)|

I noted on a note you wrote to another (I was following a thread) that in April 2015 you will be visiting San Francisco, CA as well as LA. While in SF be sure to visit the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, CA. It's establishment date is 1865 and the cemetery fills 258 acres of rolling hills within the city limits and residential area of Oakland, CA.
Regards, Elin Hansen

I would just like to say a very big thank you to Michel for taking the time to go and photograph this memorial stone for me. Without people like you who go out of there way to help others like me with our projects. Especially at this time of the year when everyone is so busy with Christmas and the New Year nearly upon us.
Once again thank you very much.

I'm glad to hear you'll be visiting Los Angeles. Let me know which weekend you'll be here and perhaps I can give you a tour of a cemetery of your choice.
|Ruggero||RE: Milly Vitale|
thanks for writing me, I hope you're enjoying your Italian vacation. The chapel where Milly Vitale rests is located at the Monumental Cemetery of Verano. I'm sure that once you'll be there you can ask where exactly is. The cemetery is located at this address, Piazzale del Verano, 1, Rome. I am here for any help you need.

Dear Michel, Thank you for the photo of Sigmund Gelbhaus' grave. I believe he is a direct relative of mine. I couldn't read what was on the gravestone and I also wondered who was buried near him.

I took that photo in 2004 so I do NOT recall where I found it.

My sincere thanks for the lovely set of five photos and the total crew shot. They are amazing quality!
I visited France in May 2011 and collected over 200 photos of RAAF lads in mamy, many cemeteries however I was just not able to do this lot. I now have only 35 to collect in France from over 657 in 120 cemeteries.
Fifteen of those are at Choloy (Nancy) and a friend is hopefully going to take those for me this week during his "tour" of the ountryside.
Many thanks again and good health.
