FIRST, A THANK YOU TO FIND-A-GRAVE FOR PROVIDING THIS WEBSITE FOR BURIAL RESEARCH.

I have found that burial details are often the most elusive part of putting together and verifying the lifestory of so many who have come before us. The US, with its history of ever- moving populations, is a geographic challenge to those trying to research family history, or the stories of groups or institutions. This website has spanned the miles electronically and makes even the most gravesite accessible.

MY APPROACH
Here I try to NOT ONLY ADD BASIC BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION TO BURIAL LOCATIONS, BUT ALSO TO SUMMARIZE THE STORY OF EACH MEMORIAL. The research and documentation is the essential step.

MY POLICIES
I am not in a competitive race for numbers of memorial postings, but rather focused on the story of EACH marker and memorial .
EACH is important as a "stand alone" story of a special person. THE
I EDIT OR TRANSFER PER FIND-A-GRAVE POLICY AND ON THE BASIS OF SOURCE VERIFICATION.

MY RESEARCH LINES
I work slowly, and on a limited number of family group memorials,--- Brooks, Cox, Sitgraeve, Reynolds, Tenney, Noyes, Parker, Carver, Bartholomew, Sinclair, McMartin, Henderson, Stinson, Phillips, Wright, Nash, Elwell, Jarvis and related surname branches.

GUIDELINES
I do have some site use guidelines just to keep my memorial management consistent:

1. CORRECTIONS / ADDITIONS/ SUGGESTIONS "EDITS" are welcomed
--- Please be courteous and civil. We all want the best, most accurate memorials to be on Fiind-A-Grave.
---I do NOT post published obituaries WITHOUT attribution (name of publication, date, and author, if known) no unattributed newspaper cutouts please !
---I do NOT welcome additions to the memorial page, photos or flower notes without first going over the EDIT page permissions and notifying me.
---Do NOT be offended WHEN I REQUEST MORE DOCUMENTATION/PROOF . I reserve the reasonable oversight of modification for each memorial.
--- I welcome EDITS that improve the memorial, not that simply restate what s already posted on the site.

2.PHOTOS:
---Do NOT just "drop" photos (portraits, document copies, artwork) into the memorials without sending me an EDIT or note- without listing the author, creator and source specifics.
DO NOT DROP PHOTOS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN CREATED BY SOMEONE ELSE INTO MEMORIALS HERE.

--COPYRIGHTS MATTER !
ANY of my published text (material in quotes) and photos are also copyrighted. PLEASE give notice of citation and attribution of any of my material as well.

Then drop me a note of your use of my work for my records. Use of any of my posted photos and original text material does require attribution citation and permission BEFORE copying and using this material. COPYRIGHTS DO MATTER

3. TRANSFERS:
---I do NOT transfer family memorials; please follow Find-A-Grave guidelines.

4. FLOWERS:
---PLEASE do NOT add notes, comments or genealogical coded material into "Flowers"- instead , send an EDIT so that your biographic and genealogical material can be added to the body of the memorial.
---PLEASE leave suggestions for the memorial improvement only on EDIT tab . The "flower" accessory here meant to be honorific, just as leaving flowers on an actual grave. The Flower should not be about YOU, but about the person subject of the memorial.
