I live in North Georgia and have been doing family genealogy for 15 years. My family is from Pennsylvania and my wife's family is from central Georgia. I know how hard it is to find information when you are so far away so I like to help our any way I can. By doing grave memorials I hope I can help someone find their relatives.|

|F Chambers||RE: James Avery Cook|
I tried to delete it but got a pop-up window from Find A Grave that said I could not delete it because I did not originate it even though it was transferred to me for management. Then it gave me a window to send a request to the memorial to ask that it be deleted. That's the first time that has happened to me.

I have asked that Memorial 5632223 be deleted but was hesitant to do so since the originator of the memorial is one of the most dedicated and hard-working Find A Grave contributors I know. He has photographed more cemeteries in North Georgia and North Carolina than I can count and rarely makes mistakes. If he opts to leave the memorial, I will add a note to reference the duplicate memorial in North Carolina which does seem more likely to be Mr. Cook's actual burial location.
I will not request a transfer of the NC memorial to me since I am not related to Mr. Cook except by marriage. His wife was my second cousin but otherwise I have no connection to him.
Thanks for letting me know about this discrepancy.

Hi Bob: I am helping a friend research his family tree. Have found his mother's memorial 39528596 and in looking at the picture her husband's birth year is listed as "1914". The picture shows "1941" so it is probably just a typo. His name is W.A. "Shorty" Burnette Memorial # 39528524. Thanks, Margaret Heath

Blessing to you Bob. I sent an email to Chuck Garland concerning this. Thank you for what you do. Thank you for the information about the two different counties.

Thank you so much for the photo and the additional information. I appreciate the time you took to do this for me.
|Nancy Hutzler||Use of headstone photos|
I would like to use the headstone photos of H.M.Downs, # 7492221 and John A Down, # 7492233 both buried at the New Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville, Union, Georgia.
These are two of my distant relatives that are kin through the Prater line and I would like to include the headstone photos on my Ancestry.Com family pages.
I would appreciate this ver much.

Thank you so much for letting me know the correct cemetery for her memorial. I have made the correction. I try to be so very, very careful but apparently not quite careful enough in this case. I really appreciate it when someone advises me KINDLY of an inadvertent error. Others are not so kind. We are all only human and make mistakes. I am willing to admit my mistakes, some are not.
Please let me know if you find an error of any kind among my memorials. Thank you again.
|Keith Townson||Willia Townson pic email|
Got your email about my posting for a picture of William Jasper Townson. What I am asking for is a actual picture of William Townson, not of his head stone. I was hoping some one seeing the website might have a "Face" picture.
|Bob Moon||Thanks Bob!|
