A few years back some kind person told me about the Find a Grave site. |
for the fun of it, the first name I entered was my g-grandfather who lived in
Urich, Missouri, US. I was surprised when it came up along with a picture of his headstone, ( I was hooked).
So far I have entered the Tappen Cemetery,in B.C.

I tried your e-mail shown on findagrave but it "bounced."
If you, or someone would contact me so we can get back in touch.
Mary Ann Miles Ritenaur Irvine is my great grand-aunt.
I was also going to suggest that with all the folks that are using Find a Grave now - it may be worthwhile to go back to the records you have entered with 'unknown cemetery' as there may be others that have been added to the correct cemetery.

Hi Doreen - I'm glad it was helpful to have found where she was buried.
Find a Graves' policy on duplicates is:
"In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location."
There are a couple of options - I can transfer the record to you; we can ask if Find A Grave would merge the records or you can send me edits using the tab. Whichever is easiest for you.

|email@example.com||thanks for the transfer|
I tried to contact you earlier as I believe you are my husbands cousin. Wanted to let you know his dad died. Hope you got the news through the others.
I just transferred Elizabeth to you.

Thank you so much for your picture of the Gravesite and memorial notes on Christopher Harfield WEST. He is my husband's GGrandfather. I had sent you just a quick correction on one of his memorial notes.
Certainly not your transcription mistake. The newspaper article had a typo on where he was living on Mayne Island. They had typed in Hayne Island.
Lovely job of documenting so much on this page. Thank you. We went to North Battlefield a few years back with the West Reunion and they have quite a collection of his belongings when he lived there with his wife and family. You will see some of his medical equipment also, which was very interesting to us al.
Thank you so much again,

Hi Doreen. I added your information to Richard Steele, but was wondering if you'd like to be the administrator for that posting. I don't know his history -- I just happened to be at the cemetery and took a few photos. If you'd like to be the administrator, please let me know. All best to you. Colleen
