A few years back some kind person told me about the Find a Grave site. |
for the fun of it, the first name I entered was my g-grandfather who lived in
Urich, Missouri, US. I was surprised when it came up along with a picture of his headstone, ( I was hooked).
So far I have entered the Tappen Cemetery,in B.C.

Hello. I sent you an 'Edit' on Albert's memorial to change the location from "Burial Unknown" to the Wilderville Cemetery. I did take headstone photos, so I know that he is there. Can you please make the change?
|Herbert Rickards||Maeguerite Zimmerman Stanton|
Howdy Doreen ^_^
I just transferred the grave of Maeguerite Zimmerman Stanton 2nd wife of Herbert F. Stanton 1900-54 to your care, since you listed the hubby in the Surrey Center Cemetery with some history I thought you might as well look after his 2nd wife as well. ^_^
Herb aka Furryfelon or the Sumas Kid.
Thanks, Doreen, for the transfers.

You have done three MAIR memorials for this cemetery. I had already done one for William Rufus Mair before I realized you were involved.
Are you by chance willing to transfer these three to me as I have a lot of info for bio, links to parents and photos. These people were direct ancestors on my mother's family line.
If you are not willing to transfer, would you then be willing to work with me in adding information?
|B.J. Waters||Julia Hinkle May|
Hello! I was taking photos at the Wilderville Cemetery and I have photos of the May family. However, there are already 5 family photos of Julia on her memorial. If you would sponsor Julia's memorial, I can add headstone photos. If you do that, please let me know so I can add the photos.

Thank you so much Doreen. It was great to get this and have Viola Marcia attached to it too. There's a lot of information for them, that will come in handy and having the headstone for both even better.
Thank you so much, Doreen, for taking the time and effort to photograph my relative's headstone. I very much appreciate it!

I tried your e-mail shown on findagrave but it "bounced."
If you, or someone would contact me so we can get back in touch.
Mary Ann Miles Ritenaur Irvine is my great grand-aunt.
|Judy Anderson||Christopher Harfield WEST|
Thank you so much for your picture of the Gravesite and memorial notes on Christopher Harfield WEST. He is my husband's GGrandfather. I had sent you just a quick correction on one of his memorial notes.
Certainly not your transcription mistake. The newspaper article had a typo on where he was living on Mayne Island. They had typed in Hayne Island.
Lovely job of documenting so much on this page. Thank you. We went to North Battlefield a few years back with the West Reunion and they have quite a collection of his belongings when he lived there with his wife and family. You will see some of his medical equipment also, which was very interesting to us al.
Thank you so much again,
Judy Anderson wife of Lorne Anderson

I am Isadore Racette's grand daughter. He was buried in 1971, we dont know why the headstone says 1970. This was confirmed by my mom. Thanks for posting it!
