In memory of my mother ---

ROSE BEYOND THE WALL

A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall….

One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide ~
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God's own loving care.

John Frederick Miller
Hi,I have never been able to find my grandfather. He was buried in Potters Field in 1909 in St. Louis, MO (?) his body exhumed and moved to Chicago to be buried by his family. Is this possibly the same John Frederick Miller. I have searched for years. Thanks for your help, would love to hear from you. mmg846@charter.net

RE: Willis Headstone Pictures
Thanks again for your gallant effort in spite of your fear of snakes. I love the pictures the way they are so don't feel like you have to return on my behalf. Jacob & Lucinda are my 4th great-grandparents.
Thank You Again,
Cathy

Thank you so much for the new pictures of our family headstones. It is always a nice surprise when I get an email out of the blue that helps me add to the family our tree. Love the fact that the pics were taken when it was nice and green outside.
Thanks for your time.

Sackett Cemetery
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for visiting and photographing the gravestone of Porter Walker at Sackett Cemetery. I visited that cemetery many years ago and it was so overgrown that there were very few stones that I could get to. Hope things are better there now. I know several of my Walker relatives are buried there but not sure there are stones as I couldn't find them. Thanks again for all you do for findagrave. You're the best.

Photo for Leslie Dowell Goldsby
You posted a photo for Laura Belle Goldsby #34503099 on 5/30/2011. She shares a headstone with her husband Leslie Dowell Goldsby #34503106 who is located in Rose Hill Cemetery in Menard County, IL. If you still have that photo, would you please post it to Leslie's memorial also. I noticed it was missing when I sent a SAC to have them linked.

Thank you for all the contributions you have made to preserve our history.
