I was born and raised in Tomah, WI. Spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy. I had four years on the USS Laffey DD724 and two of which was with the Navy Presidential Honor Guard in Washington D.C. Then 20 years in the WI. National Guard as a full time Mechanic. At present I am a Target Systems Worker at Ft McCoy, WI. I'm married for 44 years. With two daughters and a son. We are Lutheran. My parents are Melvin and Rosemary (Kopenhafer)Pliner. My fathers parents are Frank and Mathilda Beranek Pliner. Franks parents are Wencel and Barbara (Subera) Pliner. Wencel was born in 1846 and came to the U.S. from Potvorov, Czech Republic which is just north of Plzen . Barbara was born in 1852 and came to U.S. with her mother from Remesin, Czech Republic. Pliner was spelt as Pleiner Plainer and pleyner in Czech Republic.
