1. FRIENDS WILL COME AND GO BUT ANCESTORS TEND TO ACCUMULATE. 2. PEOPLE DO NOT TRULY DIE UNTIL THE MOMENT THEY ARE FORGOTTEN.
I live in Lincoln, AL which is a small rural community about 40 miles east of Birmingham.
I was born and raised in Mountain Brook (Birmingham), AL - spent 9 years in Atlanta - then 11 years in San Antonio. Now I am back in Alabama for good since 2015.
My mother (Marilyn Davis Hahn Barefield Jackson - "Madge") was a well-known genealogist, archaeologist, and historian and set me on my path to further research the family tree. She actually had a bumper sticker on her car that said "I stop at all cemeteries".
Primarily, I follow the lineage of these surnames:Father's side: Hahn, Freeman, Laatsch, Pulliam, Steiger, Meyer, Pulliam, Bauer, Seufferlein, Höll, Murray, Clay, Melton, Reynolds, Green, Platzoder, Korbacher, Hohender, Horber, Mack, Himmler, Schmitdstiller, Hull, Drumm, Traum, Roedlingschofer, Platzoeder, Becker, Albrect, and Stemmler.
Mother's side: Davis, Sims, McLeod, Hilson, Pugh, Piggott, Calhoun, Mathews, Kinsey, Kemp, Robins, Robinson, Singleton, Austin, Zargee, Stewart, Horner, Hill, Chapman and Odum.
Spouse's side: Lawley, Hamm, Lawrence, Edwards, McGee, Adams, Ingram, Hopper, Smitherman, Goodwin, Clark, Kynard, Burt, Like, Owlsley, Morgan, Abercrombie, and Perkson.Daughter-in-law's side - Olinov, Yakovenko, Zemskaya, Matchovskaya, Zemskay, and Fedorov.
