In 2000 I was working for a Title Company, and was fortunate enough to search the old records at the Vigo County Courthouse. They have a complete set of records going back to statehood. Many of the records were falling apart and fading. And it struck me that if I was ever going to work on my genealogy. I had better get started before these records disappeared. And that started this wonderful adventure!

I am a Charter member of the Wabash Valley Genealogy Society. Past President in 2012, past co chair on the Historical Preservation Committee. And presently active on the Cemetery Committee.

It has been a learning and motivational experience networking with this group of genealogist. We are all at different levels, we have beginners and experienced genealogist.

The surnames I am researching are; Davis, Keegan, Hunt, Power, Turner, McGrew, Wilson, Shattuck, Haskell, Butler, Keaton, Trueblood and Frakes.
