Bio

I am a stay-at-home Mom of 3 beautiful children. We are home schoolers and we LOVE the opportunities and freedoms it allows us. I am a NOVICE at genealogy, but have been fortunate enough to help link past a "brick wall" on my father's side! :) I enjoy storm chasing, cooler weather, the colors of spring & fall, the smell of rain, baking/cooking, family time and CHURCH! My Mom sadly went Home with her Lord recently (11/17/2011). She is no longer in pain and certainly not suffering (she had a major stroke 09/2008) and for that I am happy but my heart misses her terribly.I got into genealogy after my Mother's stroke and she became incapacitated to discuss family histories and realizing that my Dad wasn't in the best of health either (Alzheimers, Parkinson's). I wanted to preserve my heritage for my children and future generations. We had come to a brick wall with my paternal 2nd Great-Grandfather, and thanks to DNA testing, we were able to get passed it! :)
