Time moves quickly, while I've been a member for over 4 1/2 years to this site, I have been working on my family genealogy in spurts for quite some time. I appreciate all of the help people from this site have given me!|
Looks like I'm following descendents (YOUNG & SHAW) linked to the Revolutionary War & Mayflower. Exciting!
Today, while entering Woodside interments, the counter entered/turned to 14,000 memorials in the cemetery.
Now that I am doing photo requests, I have developed a deeper respect for those who have been doing it for a long time. It's a lot of work but - quite rewarding at the same time. By following the family name in research and headstone photos, one feels a kinship to that family.
I do ask one favor of anyone who would like to use photos from my memorials. Please ask permission before you "borrow" my images to use in your own tree (it helps me find connections for my own research) and, at the very least, cite my name as the researcher and owner of the image @ Find-a-Grave. Do that as a courtesy to me, since I did do the leg work & am sharing.
Feel free to leave flowers or sponsor any of the memorials. All ladies love flowers. I try to leave flowers @ memorials for young children and veterans.
Best of luck to us all!

|RWM||Shaw in Woodland Xenia|
I just added the family of George W Shaw 1859-1899 in Woodland Cem, Xenia Ohio. Do you want transfer. I am not related

Actually I had checked my step mother's page, and the siblings are listed there too. I didn't do it, and I added the page, so I just wondered how it happened.

No, I don't want you to remove anything. It's just something new that I don't remember seeing until just the last couple of days. There was never a place where you could add siblings, only parents and children. That's what I was asking, is that something you added or did FindAGrave add a new thing?

Thank you. I was a friend of the family, mainly Ray's second wife and met the family thru them. (In Pennsylvania). I never met or heard of Jerry so I have no idea where he'd be. I sent Mary's obit to Jonathan, it's not very big, but at least it gave the cemetery.

|Long Black Veil||Golden V Rice Kendrick|
Thank you for transferring Golden V (Rise) Kendrick to me.
Golden was the 2nd wife of Jefferson "Jeff" Kendrick, so if you come across other of Jeff Kendrick' children, they maybe by his 1st wife.
Thank you and God Bless

Thanks Beverly for the memorial # for Becky' parents. I have linked Becky.
I'm sorry I don't have any info on Karen. I met Becky a few years before her death, but didn't know her family.
Yes I found both of Montie parents and added them to find a grave and have also connected them to Montie. They are buried in Woodlawn cemetery in Lima, Ohio. Their death certificates also have the parents listed and I added that to Anna and Marco. I'm going to look for their parents too.. but I might not find them because of the really early dates.

|Christen1472||Frank Reid Clark at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Butler County, Ohio|
I was looking at you information on Frank. If you look at family search, they have his birthday as 25 Nov 1875. It is under the Ohio Death Certificates 1908-1953. They have his middle name as Reed not Reid. Do you know where you got the spelling of his middle name? I have seen it both ways.
Is he a relative of yours. Because if you want I will gladly take it off your hands.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Holiday too,
It is Elmer's wife that is my kin(twice over). I don't think I need Elmer and if I have something, I will sent it to you.
|James Lee Sorrell, III||RE: Betty L. Sorrell|
There's not much info on the Woodside Cemetery website. I wrote down the death information from a copy of her death certificate viewed while at the Ohio Historical Society in 1989. I don't have the actual copy. I do make errors! Cancel my update request while I obtain a copy of her death certificate.
