Time moves quickly, while I've been a member for almost 6 years to this site, I have been working on my family genealogy in spurts for quite some time. I appreciate all of the help people from this site have given me!|
Looks like I'm following descendents (YOUNG & SHAW) linked to the Revolutionary War & Mayflower. Exciting!
Today, while entering Woodside interments, the counter entered/turned to 14,000 memorials in the cemetery.
Now that I am doing photo requests, I have developed a deeper respect for those who have been doing it for a long time. It's a lot of work but - quite rewarding at the same time. By following the family name in research and headstone photos, one feels a kinship to that family.
I do ask one favor of anyone who would like to use photos from my memorials. Please ask permission before you "borrow" my images to use in your own tree (it helps me find connections for my own research) and, at the very least, cite my name as the researcher and owner of the image @ Find-a-Grave. Do that as a courtesy to me, since I did do the leg work & am sharing.
Feel free to leave flowers or sponsor any of the memorials. All ladies love flowers. I try to leave flowers @ memorials for young children and veterans.
Best of luck to us all!

the memorial you started for Franklin P Centers. Do you know any history on him, or is this a stone you did? He might be a brother to
Anna Belle (Centers) Helton, born in Ironton Ohio. She is my Great Grandmother. Can you offer any information?
Anne Belle was married to William Ballard Helton.
I'm looking for her mother's name. I know her father was Jack Centers. William was married to a Nannie Denniston as well. Several children from both marriages, any help welcomed

Oh no! I never got your email! Please resend or recheck my email addy, if you get time. :-)
|Monica S.||Richard Shaw|
Hi Beverly, This is my 5th gg, too. We have a private Facebook page for descendants of Richard & Huldah Shaw. I tried to friend you in order to invite you; I also emailed you recently. Maybe I'm in your spam folder? Marcia Laird Robison and several others are in this group.
|Cheryl Spencer||Hannah Mercer|
Hi....just looking through my husband family headstones and found this. Hannah Matilda Shaw Mercer was my husband's great-great grandmother. Bruce's grandfather was George Richard Ennis, whose father was Perry Samuel Ennis whose first wife was Hannah. Small world. I'm just getting into Find A Grave and find it very interesting. I'd love to know how to go about doing genealogy but not sure how. I've got tons of written stuff from my own grandmother but it's a jumbled mess of papers and just not sure where to start. Maybe I'll get involved at the Greene County Library here in Xenia and see if they can offer me help.
Just wanted to reach out and let you know my girls (Lisa Spencer Gidley and Heather Spencer) are related.

Hi Beverly, I sent you a friend request because I too am a Shaw descendant. Some of us cousins have been talking and I would like to share it with you. Best, Monica firstname.lastname@example.org

|Becky Bowlin Jansen||Clarence Bowlin memorial|
Hello Beverly--Clarence Bowlin is my father and I was wondering if you would transfer his memorial too me. Thanks so much. I have not checked to see if you have also entered my mother, grandmother, and grandfather who share the same stone but if you have, I would appreciate if you would transfer them too. Thanks so much.

Thanks for your kind words.
In reply, I added an image (I took many years ago) to #87029047, Laney Vanosdol Shaw. Perhaps it will help you!
