Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Antonio. Born in my father's hometown of El Paso, Texas. My childhood was mostly in my stepfather's hometown of Truchas, NM. Later moved back to Mom's hometown of Espaņola, NM where I eventually graduated High School and then left to the Air Force. I've done some traveling, but home is Home. I began actively researching my genealogy around 2001, although it was always an interest since childhood. I've researched other family genealogies too. I frequent cemeteries looking for data. I appreciate the connection felt from seeing the final resting places of family members and connecting others to the same experience. I've come across unidentified graves due to time and erosion. So, in addition to identifiable graves, I've tried to include damaged graves with the slightest of information. I hope anyone with additional information for these graves would please share that information and save these graves from becoming lost graves. It's my ambition to try and preserve the identities of all graves I come across. On memorials I manage, I try to research what I can to not only preserve their identity, but their legacy as well. I also attempt genealogical connections when available, particularly in my own community area.

I have lots of family and friends in the Espaņola Valley, therefore I am in a position to adequately manage and update their memorials per findagrave's "ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I know a few contributors are ambitious with their stats, and that's fine. Grave documentation provides a useful service and I don't see a conflict with transfer requests if it honors findagrave's ultimate goal. I hope that is considered when I make transfer requests for non-family members. Sometimes, it facilitates my ongoing research and reduces my follow up process. Some contributors are wise enough to understand this, Thank You. I enjoy the collaboration process and often share updates I come across. There is only one contributor that I have had an adverse encounter with, and that's one too many. Please work with me, so that I don't feel reluctant about working with you. I'm not a collector, I'm a researcher.

My copyright protected photos are free for viewing and private personal use, but not for dissemenating. Any competent attorney will confirm that they do not fall under "Public Domain". If there is a use for my photo, it is courteous to at least request permission before hijacking and plagerizing the photo. Depending on the project, I may be and have been accomadating. But I absolutely decline permission for paid membership sites like I don't believe in my photos being used to enhance other's profit potential. Thank you to all those who have extended me the courtesy of requesting permission.

I'm as fallable as the next person, so I do welcome any and all corrections and collaborations. I do endeavor to respect the wishes of survivors of the deceased. Basic communication generally resolves many issues. May all our lives be fulfilling before the grave finds us.

Leo Dennison at Ft. Defiance
Hi Antonio.
I went to the Veterans Cemetery in Ft. Defiance last Sunday to fulfill photo requests of headstones but couldn't locate Leo's gravesite. I spent over 3 hours walking the cemetery but didn't see Leo's marker. I even went into town to the Chapter House but the office was closed. A family member of another veteran told me that they know where all people are buried at the Chapter house. But I did find Leo's son, Leo Jr. so I entered a page for him and did family links.
I tried. Maybe another time?

Antonio Griego Santa Fe National

There is a photo request for Antonio Griego d 2009 pending at Santa Fe National. You posted a picture to his wife Rose, but put the same picture on a different Antonio Griego d 1982 (Find A Grave Memorial# 3869721) instead of Antonio Griego (Find A Grave Memorial# 72871902). If you would like to remove the picture from the wrong Antonio and add it to fulfill the request instead of me taking another photo that would be nice.

Frank Elbert Abbott
Sorry for the confusion, new to this site. I do not manage Frank's page. I saw your page on him and through my research was a bit confused if there were two Frank Abbotts with similar data. I made a page with the information I had. But since you are taking a second look at your information and comparing it to mine, I will be happy to take mine down. Sorry again for the confusion. The information that was throwing us off was I believe, the statement he died in England and his parentage. Thank you for your attention and help

re: Frank Elbert Abbott
Hello, Antonio
First, I would like to thank you for all the research you do. It is rewarding finding a relative you have been searching for, or making a connection to a new one. You facilitate just that with your work, so a sincere thank you, to you. I would like to provide the name of Frank's mother to you. It is Nora Dickey Rugh 1885-1978. His father, as you list, is Clarence Elbert Abbott, 1885-1941. I think I have the correct Frank Elbert Abbott. I could not find a Charles, as the father of Frank, anywhere. If I am in the wrong family, it happens, please set me straight. If not, could you please change his mother's information? This caused some confusion for us as you can imagine. Thank you. If I am off-track, please let me know. Just trying to get it right for future generations.

Re memorial #94827249
Hi Antonio,
Long time no speak with you. I'm a little confused by this memorial. Two different gravemarkers and two different year of births, (1850 and 1852)Spelling of his name is also different.
So, is this the same person? Did the family just put up an updated gravemarker?

Would you shed some light on this please (if you can).
Thank you,
Karen Sanchez
