Ruth Montgomery
Find A Grave Memorial# 71662986.
I have a question, how close are you to Gilliam Cemetery where Ruth is buried?. The reason I am asking is her dates are the same as Boyd Mills Montgomery,1889-1949,and she is buried next to Boyd's brother Sidney Ross Montgomery. Now the thing is there is no sister named Ruth nor a wife or mother to these two brothers, however there are missing burial records for Boyd Mills Montgomery ,1889-1949. I know the person that read the stone has confused some names before and was wondering if you read the stone closely as I cannot tell from the photo you took, were you going by a request on location such as plot etc?.

Also there is no Ruth in census records that match her. It looks like there is a letter "O' above the Montgomery name is all I can make out.
Looking forward to your input.

Thank you for reminding me that I have not posted a bio on great-grandfather W. C. Stephens. We, Sharon and I have so many documents and research on him it is difficult to write a short bio. Did you see the Medical Diploma I posted on him. We have gotten the bios on wife Synthia, father Nicholas, and Grandfather Willis posted. Don Kirk

Good afternoon.
Sorry I didn't get back on M W Davis question but that is not the Myron W Davis that is buried in Vermont. I have added his birth and death info and he did die in VT.

RE: Family
Hi Carol:

Haven't spoken for a while. Hope all are well. I am still in Bixby and doing okay. I have been working on my Potts Geneaology for some time now. My Dad's side of the family!!

I see Helen Cox from time to time. Her son, Mike lost his middle daughter this year with heart problems. He has lost two of his children and his second wife in the last five years. He moved from El Paso to Coweta, Okla. after his wife passed away.

May Cox Bradley's son, Jerry Bradley, passed away this year. Not sure if Sandy and family knew about it.

Send me a note sometime at

If I have failed to delete any photos that I had added to this cemetery please let me know. I find that many of the photos that you uploaded to the memorials for this cemetery added nothing (not even quality) but do find it interesting that many of the memorials contained 2, 3, even 4 photos where 1 photo showed the details (a great method to improve your photos added ‘score’.
Might I ask what chemicals you use on the headstones, other than chalk, to make them easier to read?

I have gone through the memorials for this cemetery removing the photos that I have added. I have no problem removing them as I did not take part in Find A Grave to keep score of the photos that I added. However, I do find it a waste of time to upload photos and then delete them. To remedy this problem I will no longer upload any photos to Find A Grave.
Couldn't it be considered an act of vandalism to use chalk on the headstones? Almost anywhere you look advises not to do it, including the THC in their publication PRESERVING HISTORIC CEMETERIES.

I am adding a lot of information from cemetery books by Lawrence & Sue Dale. You do not have to show my name when I add stuff. The thanks should go to them for all the hard work they put into these books. I will show their names next time and give credit where it is due. Signing Off, Anita
