I started doing my Family Tree in 2008 after I lost my husband in October 2007. I have been having so much fun meeting relatives I never new and exchanging information and pictures. My Family Tree relatives are Atkerson, Abbott, Taylor, Owens, Allen, Rowland, Stump, Newberry, Davis, on my husbands side Ulmer, Been, and Didier.
Toy, Hulda Hi Carol - Thank you for messaging me, I did not mean for your request to be deleted when I posted the photo. Once that happened your name was gone and I wasn't sure who had made the request. I placed a comment under the photo to explain what it was but those aren't seen unless you go to the photo. We have been through the cemetery several times and have not found a headstone for Hulda. The photo I posted is a group shot of the other 4 Toys in Bayless. If you can place another request it would help remind us when we're out there. Also, someone else may have better luck finding it. Sorry for any inconvenience. Diana
RE: Betty Didier I have been taking pictures for Find a Grave for many years in the Fort Smith area, but have only recently discovered Steep Hill Cemetery. It is the neatest and most peaceful place! I was happy to take the picture for you and be able to contribute something from Steep Hill.
RE: Andrew Toy - Memorial# 127027416 Your most welcome Carol, I still have his name and next time I'm out there I will still keep an eye for his marker. There are still some unmarked graves out there and also so old markers that aren't readable. But I will still keep a check out for his.
John Hope Caves Hi Carol, Was at the Caves reunion of John's family. John is not a junior. His father is John Huston. There are records in John Huston's pension papers stating his middle name. The family members told me they have no idea why his marriage record states him as Jr. But he is not. John is their g-grandfather and grandfather and so on.
Henry Abbott I think I sent you a message about Henry by mistake. I think it was someone else that requested a photo of him if so. Sorry. A while back I think you requested a photo of Mary atkerson? If so would you let me know? She was not in the cemetery listed but I think I may have found her. If you are still in need of photoes let me know. I am anxious to know if this is her. She is buried beside a David Atkerson. If not. Sorry again. Thanks
