You had the number wrong for Seth Gordon but I was able to find it. In order to keep from making this mistake in the future, perhaps you could send a request from the memorial site rather than thru a message.[which is the way Find A Grave has set it up and makes it less trouble for the person answering your request.] Another way to avoid this problem is to copy and paste the number rather than typing it. I hope this helps you.

RE: Margaret Caroline
Margaret is a sister to my husband's great grandfather, Joseph Taylor Collins.

Would love to know if our Tookes are related.

Mrs. Lyle is also on my list to photograph, I just haven't found her yet. Should be able to find her soon. Glad you like the photos.

RE: Ignatius West, West Cemetery, Chatham Co NC
I'm not really sure about the West family. I just fond the cemetery list online and entered it because there were a few Durham's in my line buried there. Sorry. Jim

The ones listed in Ignatius's will are: Elizabeth, Jemima, Henenbappuch (also spelled Karenhappuch--called "Happy") Decey (also spelled Dicea) and Isaac. But the will says other children who are not mentioned were provided for as they left. On the findagrave memorial page for Ignatius, it also mentions names of other children: Lucy, William, Jean (Jane), and Kezia. http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScid=2364932&GRid=55998994& They are also listed on trees on Ancestry.com.

I have my ancestor Solomon (1777-1751) as a son of Ignatius also (the oldest child). But I have no documentation for that--several trees on Ancestry have him listed and others do not. However, the 1790 census lists two white males under the age of 16, which could be Solomon and William, since Isaac wasn't born until 1794.

This probably isn't much help, but if you have any questions, let me know.

Unfortunately there are no stones in this plot. I posted a picture of the plot. Mrs. E.A. Crawford purchased the plot. Buried in the plot are Crawfords & Bisers. The plot is in Turley # 144.

RE: Caroline Nancy Griffin Gills, Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA
I'm not sure I'll ever be completely finished with my project on Sicily Island/Catahoula Parish families. So instead of a publication I decided to create a blog so I could continually add/update information. I've completed most of my work on families in Sicily Island and several in the Harrisonburg area. These can be found on my blog under the tag 'Old Families'. Tag list is on the right hand side of the blog. (the link to my blog can be found in my FindAGrave profile). I researched the Gillis family for a blog post back in 2013 but at that time I had Caroline's maiden name as Griffin as was shown on her memorial in the New Orleans cemetery. Last week I was back home and drove down to Jonesville and photographed the front of LLanada Plantation. I ran across your memorials for the cemetery there while researching the Liddell family and the plantation. I so appreciate all the work you have done on FindAGrave.
