|Carolyn Hall||RE: Cora McDade Dever|
I have the mystery of a man who appears to be my father working in Chicago in 1930. I wonder if that could be true. I always dismissed it. I'll consult with some of the family who are descended from Archibald and see what they say about his trip to Chicago.
John Wesley's father is James McDade born in Ireland in 1807 and possibly died in Beaver County, PA in 1873 (Such a person is listed on Find A Grave). John's mother was simply Nancy also born in Ireland in about 1809. They lived in New York and moved to Verona in about 1830. Nancy died and James married an Anna who outlived him. Many of us in the family have been working on pinpointing James and Nancy but be assured this is NOT James Germany McDade and Nancy Miller who arrived in the US much later.

OK, I did find her listed in another family tree as being born to Elizabeth in 1882 and married to someone whose first or last name was Dever and a daughter named Eleanor. Since she is not a direct relative, I didn't try to resolve the conflict. But her parents are John Wesley McDade and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Smith. They had a large farm in Verona.
|Carolyn Hall||RE: Cora Mae McDade Dever|
John Wesley McDade had a son named Archibald and a daughter named Cora and I do remember the name "Cora Dever". However Archibald was married to Nellie McCarthy. And my records show Cora was married to a Thompson. She would have been 28 in 1913 so she could have married Mr. Dever after Mr. Thompson. She had a daughter named Eleanor Thompson.
John was married to sisters (one at a time): Elizabeth and Annie Smith. Archibald was born to Eliz and Cora was born to Annie. I will look one other place.

I have actually never been to Mount Olivet however I did take a quick look in the records, looks like a Patrick Dever is buried there however the dates on the grave are different than what the memorial lists (not sure if you reviewed the records?) I do not see a Mary Dever listed in there or on Patrick's stone which is odd. So unfortunately I don't have any info, sorry

Actually you know what, I took those photos for you months ago. For some reason they were requested again. I think you had said you were trying to request something else? You may want to move the request so others do not try to look for them

Hi, do you have locations for any of your photo requests from Mt. Auburn? I will be visiting there

|Barry Speer||Margaret Eliza Speer|
Hi, are you sure that Margaret Eliza Speer is the daughter of William Speer, Jr. and Polly Gill? Since her birthday is listed as December 1825 and the next child was born in April 1826, it doesn't seem likely. Thanks.

I believe that I have been in touch with Andrea at some point and she didn't have any knowledge of Lucy either, but thank you!
