Primary interest in following families: Iles, Lapp, McClish, McGarvey, and Wright.

Brick wall: great grandfather - CHARLES WRIGHT, b. abt 1840, believe in Schoharie Co, NY. He died after 1886. He married Mary Ann Austin on 08 Sep 1876 in Paradise, Kingsley Station, Grand Traverse, MI. She was born abt 1837 in Montréal, Quebec, Canada and died 30 Aug 1912 in Kalkaska, MI (wife of Joel Cross, 4th husband). Charles and Mary divorced in 1886. I do not know when/where he died. The family story is that Charles drowned when his son was young, so I'd estimate sometime before 1900.

Charles lived in Paradise, Grand Traverse, MI, in 1876; and Fife Lake Township, Grand Traverse, MI, in 1880. Charles' son (Clarence), told his son that Charles was born in N. Ireland, but I'm skeptical of that claim. A fellow researcher believes Charles may be the same in Federal census for 1870: Green, Mecosta, MI (living with his brother James), and 1840-1860: Owego, Tioga, NY. If so, Charles' father was John Wright.
