My name is Brenda Kale Ballard and I started researching my ancestry after my father passed away in 2008. I am very interested in genealogy and am currently in the process of constructing a family tree. |
Please feel free to use any pictures of tombstones that I added to Find A Grave which were taken by me. I feel that if the information provided can help someone find their "roots" it is well worth the effort of uploading the pictures.
If you find errors or duplicates of my memorials, please click on the "Edit" tab on the memorial. Then click on the "Suggest a correction" link on the Edit page. Follow the instructions to submit your correction. If you choose to leave a request for correction or transfer directly on my contributor page, be sure to include the memorial ID # of the memorial to be updated and your contributor ID # if you are requesting a transfer. I will gladly transfer a memorial to immediate family members only. At the time of the request, please identify your relationship with the person you want transferred to you. Many of the memorials I create are people who are either in my husband's tree or mine. Therefore, if you request one of those memorials, I will not be able to accommodate you.
My husband and I love to photograph cemeteries in both Cabarrus and Stanly Counties. Thus far, in Cabarrus County, we have photographed all of Cold Springs United Methodist Church, Saint Martin Lutheran Church, Saint Paul United Methodist , Furr Family Cemetery, Paul Furr Family Graveyard, John Reed Cemetery, and Tucker Cemetery. In Stanly County, we photographed all of Loves Chapel & Loves Grove Methodist Churches, Oakboro Cemetery, Mission Baptist Church, Flat Rock Lutheran Church, and Locust Presbyterian. We love to document the final resting places of those who came before us and hope that this will help others in their ancestry search.
I am a retired teacher who taught school for 30 years in three counties in North Carolina. I earned a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and a Masters of Education (MED) degree. I also earned my National Board Certification in 2001 as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
I am learning that genealogy can be quite addictive!

Would you please consider transferring ownership of Carolyn Sherrill Childress to me, Find A Grave Memorial# 53103295? She was my Aunt. I created a page for her husband, my Uncle Wayne Childress
Find A Grave Memorial# 143817056 buried next to her. Thank you for your kind assistance.

I looked around and can't reproduce the source material where I obtained the marriage dates for Caleb, Julia, and Sarah Smith. Just keep what you have. Thanks. Terry
|LTC Stephen Russell Pain||RE: Transfer of James Earl, Mamie, and James Harold Haithcock|
Dear Mrs. Ballard, I want to sincerely thank you for the transfer of James Earl Haithcock, Mamie Haithcock, and James Harold Haithcock's memorials. This was very helpful in reuniting my family tree and allowing me the opportunity to personalize their memorials. Thanks again for your support.

I hope you are well, and having a wonderful holiday season.
I am so sorry that I took up your time with that crazy edit I sent you. I have no idea where my brain was that day!! Susan Grigg Randall was not even living when Ethel Randall was born. What was I thinking!! Thanks for catching that. I must be more diligent in the future.
birthday and year is November 10, 1937

Brenda, just got through extending some family members when I came across your name. Seems like we are 4th cousins. My roots lie with the Glenn lineage.

Hi Brenda, Sarah is my 1cousin 3xremoved and I am asking permission to use the family photo you have posted on her memorial, giving you credit of course. Thanks, Teddy Lou
|Pat Gardner||Hartwell P Love #65197381|
I too am addicted to genealogy and am trying to get my resources recorded on my hard copy so have spent many hours updating and correcting my records as well as other records.
It is my belief that Thomas B Love #65542231 is the son of Hartwell and Lunda Furr Love, not Eliza Brooks, although that is who is listed on his death certificate. Knowing the death date of Lunda in 1887 and the marriage date of 19 Feb 1888 for Hartwell and Eliza, I don't think a child born in 1885 belongs to the second wife. Also, will you change the marriage date of the second marriage as the marriage record indicates the date I gave above.
My Love families are in Wilkes and Watauga Counties, but find that they all tie in with the ones in Stanly and Cabarrus counties.

It looks like JL has taken care of it. Terry
