In the late 1980's I began talking with my grandmother about her childhood and members of our family in NC. It was fascinating for me. She went through very old family photos and told me who each person was and how they were related. In 1990, I consolidated all the information and research that I had obtained into a handmade "book" for my grandmother. Over the past 25+ years I have continued to update that book which led me to Find A Grave.

As a psychologist, I find our family histories very interesting. This site has proved invaluable. I enjoy visiting and recording cemetery information (even when it doesn't relate to my own extended family). Thank you to everyone who participates on this site.
