I was born and raised in Atlanta, but have lived most of my adulthood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coincidentally I ended up right where my roots are on my father's side of the family. Genealogy is my passion and I never met a cemetery I didn't like. I'm also into historic preservation, both of buildings and the lives of people no longer with us.|
As the daughter of a general and great-granddaughter of 3 Confederate veterans, I like to note military records of veterans on their findagrave memorials.
I welcome corrections/additions, but will no longer link to a "burial unknown" person. I have found this leads to duplicates.
FAMILIES ON MY FATHER'S SIDE: Irwin, DeWeese, Blackwelder, Babcock, Taylor, Wilbon.
FAMILIES ON MY MOTHER'S SIDE: Bryan, Battle, Pope, Atkinson, Yarbrough, Chappell.

thank you for the entry on Charles. He was a unique and wonderful "boy/man" who never reached his full potential here on earth. He has long been missed.

|Robert C. Peurifoy||Thanks|
Thanks for all the corrections and edits. I finally had to change to a gmail account. Have worked for 7 months trying to get my hotmail account back open. I keep getting the run around and it's a different person each time, so I have to start over. It the account I use only for Find A Grave and Genealogy.
Bet I have a backlog of 4,000 emails on the hotmail account. Figure it will take me several hours, which are hard to fit in, before I can open it back up. I used the wrong password too often.
Am finally getting back in the game. Took over 500 pictures last week at Salisbury. So far only 1 out of 5 have already been entered. The person who was keeping up with new graves has moved to Virginia. So I just go to the new parts and start working on pictures. Was there for a Patriot Guard Mission. It was 96+ as I was taking pictures.
Take care. My new address is email@example.com.

|Kristy Frazier||RE: Alice Cuthbertson Maye|
I have her original birth certificate. Her name on it is Alice Lawrence Cuthbertson, born to Arthur Vance Cuthbertson and Alice Lee Lawrence. My mother and her brothers also know this to be her name, and her sister, whom you have no record of on here, confirmed that as well. Bonnie has never been a part of her name to anyone's knowledge. Do you have a copy of the birth record that you are referencing? Thank you!
