A history and genealogical record of two Coggin/Coggins families descended from Physician John Coggin or Cogan of England & Isle of Wight, Virginia. Published "Ellis County Texas's Company H, 18th Texas Cavalry" at lulu.com. My 1st Cousin 3 times removed Wilson Ivy Coggin commanded the company during the Civil War and history has shown the 18th Texas Cavalry was captured; however, this book tells the truth as his unit was not captured with the rest of the 18th Texas Cavalry at Arkansas Post.
