I grew up in Basehor, Kansas. In 2002 I retired from the Department of Justice after 20 years of service and I'm a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). My Dad, Charles E. Nance, was an Army veteran of WWI and WWII, and my Brother, Willard Nance, a veteran of WWII and Korea. I am so thankful and appreciative of our Military and love spending time in our National Cemeteries here in Leavenworth.
Any incorrect submissions were not done intentionally. I am NOT into "numbers", so if anyone would like transfers, please let me know by the "edit" tab and I would be more than happy to do that for you unless it is my "direct" family member or very close friend.
If you are asking for a transfer, please give me your member number. Please give me the memorial number if you are asking me about a memorial.
If the memorial already has a readable headstone photo on, PLEASE do not add another one as there is a limit of how many you can put on, unless it is sponsored. Much appreciated.

|Karen Parsons Yates||RE: Frank Parsons|
Good to hear from you too! I live in Georgia now and don't get back to Leavenworth often anymore. I see you have added pictures of several of my family's graves; thank you so much for all the work you've put into this! And thanks for transferring Frank's to me; I'll add the picture I have of him and the bio info another cousin put together on him. I'll let you know what other family members I have info on in case you want to send them my way, too. So glad I found this site!

I am researching some family members and noticed that you entered some information on Frank Parsons, one of my father's cousins, who is buried in Sunset Gardens. I am new to this site. I have a photo of Frank I would like to upload; is that allowed and can I do it myself? Also, I think I might have worked with you at the Civilian Personnel Office at Fort Leavenworth Kansas in the late 1960's. My name was Karen Parsons Austill then. Were you Leonard Meyers secretary?

Thank you for all of your amazing work.
I would like to get a better photo of Israel Rose's gravestone (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=rose&GSfn=israel&GSbyrel=all&GSdy=1888&GSdyrel=in&GSob=n&GRid=59382776&df=all&) in Sons of Truth cemetery, so I can see the Hebrew inscription. Israel Rose was the great-grandfather of my cousin.
Thanks for any help you can give here.

|Angelia Roberson||RE: ref your email|
Perhaps we could go together and knock out any remaining without photos.
I have sent a couple of emails to the address listed, but have no confirmation they were received or read. I may resort to snail mail if I can find a mailing address.
If I can't get in touch with someone to get appropriate clearance, go ahead and get what you can.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other places that need photos taken. :-)
