Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the mid-Michigan area and have been doing genealogy research for a number of years.

A few years ago I started putting family names into the Find A Grave database, but since then I have begun adding unrelated individuals as I come across them. Sources are usually derived from old obituaries, visits to cemeteries for my own relatives or death records.

If I have a family member of yours and it is not my direct line, I will transfer using the FAG guidelines, however I am very flexible with that. If you wish a transfer, use the edit button and select "suggest any other correction or addition" so I have the memorial number, list your member number and relationship.

RE: Munro Photos of Headstone
You are welcome. I'm sure there must be a way to get the pictures right but this old lady had no idea what it would be...good luck with your try!

RE: Eastmans in Arkona
The description in the cemetery index refers to the cemetery map. If you are trying to locate the graves, in this case, because of the tall monument, it isn't imperative. However, if anyone doesn't see the photos, using the map, the description is:

MAP II, Range 4, Lots 12 & 13 - C. M. Eastman

Because there are five maps for the various locations and a variety of ranges with each map, at a minimum, I would use the description Range 4, Lots 12 & 13. Having the correct map reference is always helpful. Without it, I wouldn't be able to locate half of the graves in the Arkona Cemetery.

That's my thought on it.

I did post the photo to Phebe's memorial. Hope you don't mind.

RE: Samuel Monroe
Hi Patty,
Yes, you are correct. I meant to say that he is buried next to John Trendel. I will make the correction on the memorial. At Washington Park Cemetery most veterans, that are not in a family plot, are buried on "Veteran's Hill", which is basically in the middle of the cemetery. However there is another little known area that must have been used for veterans back in the 1950's. It is way out of the way and I can best describe it as "far west side of section A, where the cemetery ends, along Preston Road.

Okay I added pictures to Charles Carl Polite, Jeanette M. Polite, And Robert Edward Polite. I couldnt get some of the pictures to load upright but they are there atleast. Unfortunately it wouldnt let me load more than 4 on each, I cant afford to sponser at the moment. I wanted you to see Carls Childhood picture I have from around 1910. I suppose I could email it if I could figure that out. Funny I can do Facebook easily but have trouble elsewhere including email. Carl looks alot like Glenn David.

Thanks for the reply. I found it interesting that My Grandmothers name was Jeannette Polite and turns out Carl had a sister with her name in it. My grandmothers maiden name was Cline, I have been searching for awhile fir her parents on here, John Allen Cline and Anna Louise Cline. They are both buried in Detroits Mt Olivett is all I know. Ive never seen their grave before. One died in 1939 and the other in 1944. Ill be adding pics soon I have tons. I never had any idea my granfather had so many siblings! Ive been told all my life my grandfather was given up for adoption and was raised in an orphanage. I dont know much about his growing up. My mother had no idea she even had a grandparent alive when she was born being that she was born in 1946 and Emery died in 1950. She never met any of her grandparents.

Im a decendant of Emery Polite and Jennie Hineline
Hello we must be cousins! Emery Polite and Jennie Hineline Polite are my mothers paternal grandparents. Charles Carl Polite was my grandfather. My mother Maryanne just passed away in December. I have yet to make a memorial for her. I am new to having an account with the page.

RE: Maine Headstones
Hope you like them. They were buried near the Fox family. I will be adding more pictures tomorrow. I think Fox was Maud's maiden name.
