Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the mid-Michigan area and have been doing genealogy research for a number of years.

A few years ago I started putting family names into the Find A Grave database, but since then I have begun adding unrelated individuals as I come across them. Sources are usually derived from old obituaries, visits to cemeteries for my own relatives or death records.

On one particular weekend I accompanied my husband to Adrian, Michigan for an appointment. While I waited for him, I walked across the street to the Quaker cemetery to the old part of the cemetery and looked at the old graves, many of which were in horrible shape and some lying on the ground. Took some photos and found they were not on Find A Grave, so created memorials.

If I have a family member of yours and it is not my direct line, I will transfer using the FAG guidelines, however I am very flexible with that. If you wish a transfer, use the edit button and select "suggest any other correction or addition" so I have the memorial number, list your member number and relationship.

If you send me any edits, such as relationships or other vital facts, please send me an email and let me know why you think it should be edited in that way. I recently had an edit came through and after the fact realized it was not intended for the person in the memorial.

RE: Joseph W Barr
Let me tell you a story.

When I was research one of my own family's distant ancestors, I came across some interesting facts:

The survey for those died in this camp was incomplete, there was a mass grave that had no markers, and the markers were put in years later in neat little rows...they don't actual mark the grave.

I was searching for a "Noah Thompson" from north FL. A distant cousin thought the one listed as buried here was him, but his marker said "Alabama". I searched and yes, there was a Noah Thompson somewhat younger than ours from AL, so I didn't think it was the same one. The folks who are "official" researching each one of the tombstones in the cemetery thinks they are one in the same. My Thompson fought with a unit from Jacksonville, FL so why would he had AL on the marker. Both Thompson men didn't come back from the war.

I got my information on Joe Barr from another researcher's data posted online. He said that his Joe Barr died at Camp Chase. I made the memorial. He may not have a marker as he wasn't on the incomplete burial list.

I know of another case where there is a maker in this cemetery and there are documentations that the soldier was alive years after the Civil War and burial took place, I believe NC, when he was an old man.

Post script: You know that you use the "edit" tab on any memorial to undo information and an automatic message will come to me that you are requesting the change. Then I will hit "accept" much more easier for me.

When you talk about a certain memorial, please use the "Find A Grave" memorial number. It makes the other person's life so much easier. I can easily drop the number in the "Begin New Search" to find the memorial. I will undo the relationship link.

RE: Lona D Shaffer Memorial # 60036717
I took the picture down because the dates on the tombstone are different than the dates you have posted. The dates on the stone are as follows:
1886-1964. The dates you have posted are 1875-1954. If you find that the stone is correct please let me know and I will post the picture.
I will say that the stone is in Section A.

Leslie Fuller Memorial
Hi Patricia,

Leslie's memorial is transferred to you! Have a great day. It's sunny here - but oh so cold! Have to keep reminding myself it's spring!

Alvin Fuller's Son Leslie
Hi Patricia,

When I took the photo for Alvin Fuller in Bly Cemetery there was another Fuller marker next to his. It was for his son, Leslie Fuller, and I created a memorial for him. Are you interested in managing Leslie's memorial? Just let me know and I will be happy to transfer it to you.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
