Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the mid-Michigan area and have been doing genealogy research for a number of years.

A few years ago I started putting family names into the Find A Grave database, but since then I have begun adding unrelated individuals as I come across them. Sources are usually derived from old obituaries, visits to cemeteries for my own relatives or death records.

If I have a family member of yours and it is not my direct line, I will transfer using the FAG guidelines, however I am very flexible with that. If you wish a transfer, use the edit button and select "suggest any other correction or addition" so I have the memorial number, list your member number and relationship.

RE: John Wesley Delcamp 1921-1970
Ok, I sent the numbers to the wrong person (you). I corrected it and sent it to the correct person.

If you look in the Hillcrest Memorial Garden cemetery findagrave and search for surname "Delcamp", you will see 2 identical memorials with some common facts and some that are new facts in each memorial.

I sent it to the correct person this time. 2 different people made the memorials. Interestingly there are actually 4 John Wesley Delcamps. This family enjoyed naming their sons with the same name. One was born and died the same day in 1914.

Delcamp, John Wesley Senior
Mar 1854 - Williams County, Ohio
25 May 1932 - Montpelier, Superior Township, Williams, Ohio

Delcamp, John Wesley 1st.
28 July 1881 - Gallitan, Daviess County Missouri, USA
7 Aug 1970 - Owosso, Shiawassee, Michigan, USA

Delcamp, John Wesley 2nd
26 Feb 1914 - Detroit, Wayne, Michigan
26 Feb 1914 - Detroit, Wayne, Michigan

Delcamp, John Wesley 3rd.
13 Aug 1921 - Owosso City, Shiawassee, Michigan
27 Sept 1992 - Petoskey, Emmet, Michigan USA

Thanks, Dennis

Good afternoon, I am from Elm Lawn Cemetery and wanted to let you know Louise L. (Munro) McLean moved her parents George H. and Margaret Munro on May 12, 1926 to this cemetery from Pine Ridge Cemetery. If you would like to change the cemetery he is linked to, I will upload the memorial photos. Thank you:)

You are welcome. I'm sure there must be a way to get the pictures right but this old lady had no idea what it would be...good luck with your try!

RE: Eastmans in Arkona
The description in the cemetery index refers to the cemetery map. If you are trying to locate the graves, in this case, because of the tall monument, it isn't imperative. However, if anyone doesn't see the photos, using the map, the description is:

MAP II, Range 4, Lots 12 & 13 - C. M. Eastman

Because there are five maps for the various locations and a variety of ranges with each map, at a minimum, I would use the description Range 4, Lots 12 & 13. Having the correct map reference is always helpful. Without it, I wouldn't be able to locate half of the graves in the Arkona Cemetery.

That's my thought on it.

I did post the photo to Phebe's memorial. Hope you don't mind.

RE: Samuel Monroe
Hi Patty,
Yes, you are correct. I meant to say that he is buried next to John Trendel. I will make the correction on the memorial. At Washington Park Cemetery most veterans, that are not in a family plot, are buried on "Veteran's Hill", which is basically in the middle of the cemetery. However there is another little known area that must have been used for veterans back in the 1950's. It is way out of the way and I can best describe it as "far west side of section A, where the cemetery ends, along Preston Road.
