Bio

I started working on my family genealogy in the 1970's after i asked my mother what her grandfather Blair's name was, as I had grown up with my father's parents, his grandparents and his great-grandparents in my life. I was curious as to the names of my mothers grandparents and great-grandparents. she told me his name was "Grandpa" Blair. Thus I became obsessed to find all of the Blair ancestors names and from there any ancestor in my family, my childrens family, my inlaws family and the search goes on. i have been able to research up to 9 generations in some lines, sadly I can only go back 5 in the Blair line which is why i started this quest in the first place. but it has been a fun, exciting and sometimes very frustrating journey. I got my younger sister Theresa involved and she is as obsessed as i am now. We work together on the families genealogy. Now we have discovered Find A Grave and thanks to this wonderful sight we have a new obsession. to find the headstones and burial places of all of the ancestors we have found over these past 30 something years and along the way help others find their loved ones burial places and photos of their headstones.
I have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. 2 of those grandchidlren ages 7 and 9 live with me and they are excited to go 'graving' with their Meemaw. They think it is cool to go to the cemetery. I just hope that enthusiasm last for their lifetime and they can take over when we no longer can.
