I was born in Alton IL and raised in East Alton IL. I lived in the Greater St. Louis area for 40 years and now live in Jackson, MO. Jackson is in Southeast Missouri. I descend from these families: Anderson, Stewart, Kruse, and Smith. I am also descended from Hunters in Kentucky and Zimmermans in the Godfrey, IL area. The Zimmerman family is well researched, but the Hunters in Kentucky aren't yet. Lately I have been looking into the lineage of Eliza Gillison (also spelled with a J or an e in some records).
