I am a late bloomer as far as genealogy goes. I didn't start researching until 2009. So I'm still learning. My interest in Genealogy started with a visit to my niece's family tree. Then I was hooked. There was so much I didn't know about my family and a lot I still don't know. My family research includes the Smith, Pearce, Morgan, Riley, Fletcher and I think maybe the Peppers and Kincheloe.|
burial site unknown

I didn't add the picture, so there's nothing I can do about it. If you click on the name under the picture you can leave a message for the person who added it.

Sorry, but we do not link to people with unknown burial locations. We have made mention of her name in the bio, so the information about her mother is contained on Thelma's page.
"BUs" are supposed to be for recent deaths only, and updated with a burial location within 30 days. If FindAGrave ever starts deleting those older than 30 days, the links will be broken.

I'm surprised that Bernita McKee Young has not requested them.
If you want to transfer them to me, I'll not stop you.
I've found that when you have a short biography on the find-a-grave, you know whether of not you've found the right one.
Can't believe how many have the same names and the same birthdays.
I've only been doing this stuff a couple of months. It started out as just merging 2 lists together and then it became fun and now it's addicting.
Appreciate your assistance.

You are so welcome. If you go to family search.org they have a picture of the wedding certificate and more details on there. Like they were married at the Allen home and C.W. Yocum signs for Orben and they were married in the presence of George Allen and C.W. Yocum.
familysearch.org is great and its also free. I use them and ancestry.com together.

I have visited the office of Union Cemetery twice now to search for Steve, and they have no record of him at all, including in their cremation records. There is a Waldon family buried at Union, but Stephen seems to have no relationship to them. I will continue to search for him - I have checked with a couple local cemeteries to see if he was buried there with no luck. I will keep looking.

Yes, Lois. My great-grandfather is buried there in Shafter and they don't even have him listed. Even though he has a marker. His name is Ross Greenwood Chatman. He has a marker there. I wonder why they don't have the people listed that just has those small markers like for unmarked graves listed on there site? Who is doing the grave listing I wonder.

You said there was a problem with getting a photo of Troy Chatman's grave? They said there was no record of him being buried there right? Well, then why is his memorial on their site under number #47160965. Troy Lane Chatman. He was born 12/12/1966 to 3/18/2011. If you check the Shafter Memorial Park site you will see it yourself. That makes me wonder how well they keep their records.
