I have a long-time interest in the American Civil War. I have finished a project regarding the 44th Indiana Infantry. The result is a book, "In Place Rest", which gives a listing of cemetery grave sites with pictures for most of the men of the 44th Indiana. During the process of developing that book, I traveled to cemeteries in many states in search of the grave sites. Like many others, I have always been interested in investigating cemeteries and reading the old stones.
