Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I've been researching my family from Cambria Co., PA and Brooklyn, NY on and off for over 25 years and I just love it. My first experience with cemeteries was finding a plot that had 15 family members buried in it. From then on I was hooked! I hope what I've found can help someone find theirs. Jack

William Casper Oswald
You posted a death certificate for William Casper Oswald on his memorial page. I am curious as to why the birth year on the death certificate does not match with the birth year on the head stone. Do you have any idea why there is such a large discrepancy?

Actually she's already there, entered by the energetic "Michelle" about three years ago. I guess you'll need to submit some edits.

RE: St. Aloysius - Pfeister
Last summer I filled in all the "blanks" in the oldest section, (long one behind the Chapel House). Across that first drive we find lots that were initiated ca. 1910. So all pre-1910 tombstones should now be on Findagrave. If they are not, they were either pulled up during the "housecleaning" of the 1940s, or the people never got stone to begin with.

Last September and October I did indeed take pix of all the remaining stones in St. Michael's cemetery. So ... Good things come to those who wait! :-)))

All we need is lots of icy weather to keep me indoors!!

St. Aloysius - Pfeister
I'm launching into the pix for St. Francis Xavier in Cresson right now (pix snapped last Septmber). Lord willin' and the weather stays nasty on the mountaintop, I should have most of them uploaded over the next two weeks.

Oh, rest assured that these were taken in happier weather! (Like last July). The polar vortex has a way of increasing my Findagrave uploads, though! In only have another fifty or so to go before finishing with St. Aloysius. Hopefully today it will be over.

Jack-O,

I hope to have a few more to upload. I have pics of all the St. Aloysius stones, and am taking advantage of subzero temps outside to chain myself to the computer!

Yes, the plot location is posted on the memorial, but there was no gravestone. The photo shows the area where the plot is located.

You should have seen me after my knee surgery when I was out within a week with my crutches and camera. Ha Ha
