I began researching my family many years ago. All of my great grandparents came to the United States from the Netherlands. The family names I have been researching are: Pruis, Klunder, Kloostra, Vander Ploeg, also Timmer, Kloosterhuis, Demaar, and Bomers (Boomers). My research has gone as good as can be expected, although I have struggled to get back into the 1700's. I have been told that Pruis is Prussian, but I have not been able to connect that dot. I have also started to expanded my research to include some of my husband's family. His family names include: Steere, McConkie, Porter, Perkins and Ford. The majority of his ancestors' memorials have been created by others already. I am focusing mainly on family, however, when visiting cemeteries I sometimes snap extra pictures to post. If I should happen to create a memorial for someone in your family feel free to request a transfer thru the edit tab. I will gladly transfer if the person is not part of our family. Thank you everyone for your diligence.
