Bio

The memorials that I have posted for Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, NY have come from information belonging to the caretaker(s) of this cemetery. It is certainly not complete and I believe there are some mistakes. If you have changes to these memorials, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to make the changes.

I also will be more than happy to transfer the memorial(s) to family members upon request as I have no connection to any of these memorials.

Whenever possible I will note the person who has sent me the information to update the memorial. I understand that everyone believes they have sourced the information, etc. however, I receive conflicting info on the same memorial quite frequently. If you believe that your information is right, sourced, etc. then you should have no problem with your name or Find A Grave contributor number as my source on the information.

I ask just a couple of things regarding edits:

Please, if you have names of relatives that you would like linked to a memorial, please send the memorial numbers to be linked in your request. I simply do not have the time to do the research.

Also, as far as obits/bios: Feel free to send me obits when you have them, however, I will not put an obit in, in its entirety, if it mentions living people. That said, I also do not have the time to research who is alive that is mentioned in the obit. I will omit the surviving people in the obit unless I have knowledge or it is totally obvious to me that the person is not living. So please, do the research first, let me know, so we can get the other relevant facts on the memorial. The same goes with bios. No living people are to be listed in the bio.

Also, I will not list census records and other research into the bio. The bio is not a area for research findings. FindAGrave is not a substitute for genealogy software or any other record keeping system.
