Bio

I became interested in my family's history as a teenager listening to both of my grandmother's tales about family ancestors. Hence I ended up with most of the old family photos and memorabilia. After moving back to Kalamazoo, MI, near my hometown, in 2005 I began serious research (some family members would say it's become an obsession!). I have made three trips to Washington D.C. with our local genealogy society to research at the National Archives and DAR Library which was very productive and lots of fun. My main family names are Welch/Welsh and O'Brien (Canadian Irish), Wilson (Canadian English) Weeks, Bonicel (French), Harrison, Clark, Roe, Repass, Hewitt/Hewett and Day. I love finding ancestral pictures fitting a face with a name.
