Amateur photographer and geologist; mountain bike rider. Serious genealogist. Author of Arcadia Publishing's Images of America, Mount St Helens. I make frequent trips to the Oregon State Archives in Salem and am able to look up/copy documents.|
Feel free to use, for non-commercial use only, any photo I have on FAG - however, please give me credit for it. If anyone is able to make use of a photo I've taken I'd like to hear from you. It is nice to know that the photos, and listings, have been of use to someone!
Please note that many, but not all, of my edits are being done under the name: Invenio Sepulchrum.
I consider myself 'advanced' when it comes to researching Swedish ancestors. Can I help you?

Hello David and thank you for documenting memorials at the cemetery. Could you please transfer the memorials so that in coordination with the Mattole Valley Historical Society I can add biographical information and photographs. This cemetery has been the subject of much background research even before there was a Find A Grave! Thank you

You are welcome. It was a pleasure to photograph Charles and Laura Bierwiler’s Memorial. I consider it a privilege to create a picture that will bring remembrance to our ancestors.

Many thanks for the additional information added to Alice McNeill memorial. It is appreciated. Millie

There is another memorial for Anton, #61470760. The photo shows "Johanson born Johnson."

Alright, today I located Axel E. Axelson (#157616431), his wife Regina Axelson (#157616468), and next to them is a Fritz Axelson (#157616509). I was told by the office that they were related, however now that I look at dates between the two Axels, it could be merely a coincidence of having the same names. (Their birth years are too close to be father/son.) Let me know if you can make any connections!
|Heather Erickson||Axel Axelson|
Hello, I was able to locate Axel Axelson's grave, although the office was able to confirm it is unmarked. I also got the locations of other Axelsons whose graves are marked and they believe them to be related. Am working on finding and photographing the other Axelsons. Will be in touch when I find them!
Are you able to look up plot numbers or locations for two burials in the Redland Pioneer Cemetery?
I am trying to find out if Martha Norman's father followed her to Oregon.
Peter Bodell is Find A Grave Memorial# 131944849 which you created. (also is there a marker for him?).
Possible daughter is Martha Norman Find A Grave Memorial# 50183559 (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=50183559)
Also looking for Martha Bodell, Peter's wife. Is she recorded in the same cemetery?
Any help you can give me would be appreciated greatly!

Yes they have been. I contacted Find-A-Grave and they removed the incorrect photos

Thanks. I haven't been to the Oregon Archives in Salem for at least 20 years. Do they have anything online or do you still have to look at fische?
