Amateur photographer and geologist; mountain bike rider. Serious genealogist. Author of Arcadia Publishing's Images of America, Mount St Helens. I make frequent trips to the Oregon State Archives in Salem and am able to look up/copy documents.|
Feel free to use, for non-commercial use only, any photo I have on FAG - however, please give me credit for it. If anyone is able to make use of a photo I've taken I'd like to hear from you. It is nice to know that the photos, and listings, have been of use to someone!
Please note that many, but not all, of my edits are being done under the name: Invenio Sepulchrum.
I consider myself 'advanced' when it comes to researching Swedish ancestors. Can I help you?

I got the photos in Ocean View Cemetery for Herman North. #141260931
I note that you have too many M's in his first name per his headstone (unless, of course, the headstone is wrong against a birth/death certificate).
All the best,
|Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery||Peter Johnson #74206505|
You are welcome. There were two Peter Johnsons originally buried in the Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery. This one, buried in 1906. Another Peter, possibly related to William Anderson, died in 1918 and was moved to Sunset Memorial Park in 1954. We do have a copy of his obituary. If you have any information about the Johnsons that you could share with us, it would be greatly appreciated.

Heaven Now Retains our Treasure
Earth The Lonely Casket Keeps
And The Sunbeams Long To Linger
Where Our Sainted Mother Sleeps
I found several other headstones with this poem.
Does this look like the answer? I still am not able to read the message.
My Best to you, Martin Burrell
