Please remove the photo of the tablet panel from this memorial. This particular soldier was buried at Manila and is not listed on that panel. The Roy A Anderson at the top is a Field Cook, from Missouri, not Fireman 1Class, California.
George O Ekberg Hi Kay and Duane. Thank you for getting Uncle George's memorial (# 125292111) entered. Would it be possible to have it transferred to my member #48403518 - Donna Ekberg-Reiman. I am a niece of George and handle a lot of the genealogy records for our family. Thank you.
Tom and Nondis Burkell Duane and Kay, Just a note about Tom and Nondis Burkell, who are buried in Trout Lake Cemetery. They worked for the forest service in Trout Lake when they were young and first married. When I met them, they had two sons Tommy and Ron; and they owned and ran the Seabeck grocery store in Seabeck, WA. They lived in the apt. upstairs, and ran the store below. Tom also was active with Wally Martin, renting boats on the Seabeck dock (mostly during the summer). Tom was a volunteer fireman at our little fire hall in Seabeck; and he and his family were the nicest folks you could ever have the privilege of knowing. Both boys married and had children; but Tom and Nondis had died by the time grandchildren were born. There son Tommy died in eastern WA I believe, and Ron and family are in the Seattle area. I do not know if you knew them, but as their caretakers...thank you. Peggy Thomason Seabeck, WA
