May I have permission to post headstone pictures of the Flanary, Bishop, and Bailey family members to their Ancestry.com profiles in my family tree?
|Bobby Overman||John L. Lawson|
I am wondering if you have other information about this grave. I think this is my great-grandmother and great-grandfather. The birth dates are correct and the death date is correct for John but Ida B. Lawson is still alive in 1920. I found her on the census records living with my grandmother and grandfather. In 1920 she is listed as a widow which makes sense given the death date of John. They lived in that county and the interesting part of the story is that my grandmother always told us her parents had died together or shortly after one another. It wasn't until years after my grandmother died that I found her mother on the 1920's census. The grave goes along with the story my grandmother always told us of her parents death as far as the timeline but since I found Ida on the 1920's census--and I am sure the census takers didn't make a mistake because she was there along with my grandmother's siblings. It is curious so I am hoping you have a bit more information. Thank you.
|Condra Crabtree||Tivis D. Rhoten|
This is my grandfather's grave. His first wife was Ida Belle Johnson Rhoten Coleman 1884-1955. They divorced and she married William C. Coleman of Scott Co., VA, on 8/20/1928.
Tivis and Ida had two daughters: Mattie Louise Rhoten 2/01/1905-4/22-1979; and Nannie Rhoten Barnett. I don't know much about Nannie except that she married G.W. Barnett. Her middle initial may be a T.
Tivis' second wife, my grandmother, was Lillie A. Ramey Rhoten 12/23/1915-4/14/2008. They married 01/13/1934 in Wise Co., VA.
Tivis and my grandmother had two daughters: Rebecca Ellen Rhoten Crabtree 11/29/1934- ; and Mollie Ethel Rhoten Edwards 4/7/1936- .
I am looking for my Rhoten/Rhoton relatives and can be contacted at email@example.com

You created the memorial for John Dougherty (1803-56) buried at Dougherty Cemetery. Do you happen to have any information about his wife?
I've seen two different spouses so I need to verify if this is the correct John Dougherty. His wife should be Margaret or Marie Wilson for it to be the correct John Dougherty in my wife's family tree.

I am finally finding time to work on the data for relatives in Scott County, VA. If you would transfer all the memorials in the Hensley Cemetery to me. I can add additional data.
Hope all is going well for you. Thanks much, Dorie

|Melinda Johnson||Elbert Flanary|
I am a descendant of Elkanah Flanary and Nancy Young, whose youngest son is Elbert Sevier Flanary. Elbert is a younger brother of my great grandmother, Lucinda Flanary Bailey. The book "Early Settlers of Lee County and Adjacent Counties" makes this connection.
Please let me know if you have definite proof of this Elbert's parents. I do believe I am correct.

Sure, feel free to use my photos. But if it's an online tree, you might also want to give credit to findagrave.com
I was wondering if you knew if there is a Susan/Susannah (Moore) Addington buried at the George W. Addington Cemetery, b. Abt 1831. She was the third wife of the Charles Cromwell Addington. Both his other two wives are there and being his last wife, I would have thought she would be there too. Thanks for your help.
