I have been interested in family history for quite some time. "Find a Grave" has been very helpful in my research. I appreciate everyones help in documenting my families history, or as I call them, my "dead guys!" My profile picture I took in Alaska. The small blue flowers is the "Forget Me Not!" I thought it would be appropriate.|

The niche is unmarked. I took the photo so you can see who is interred on either side of Rue Hopkins. She is in the unmarked niche in the middle.
Sorry for the confusion.

No apology necessary. Someone helped me once and I'm happy to do my part. Additionally I enjoy the search!

Yeah...I apologize for the picture not being a little better, but unfortunately it was looking into a bright sun at a pretty old stone. What I think it says (with some help from this website transcribed the stone back in the 1980s: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mthope-sec-o.htm ) is "John H. / Son of / John T. & Mahala / Spencer / Died / July 9, 1846 / E. [Aged] 1 Yr 3 Months" (I certainly wouldn't bet my life on the "Mahala" part...but that's what they recorded.)
