Most of my research is regarding the STEEN, WOOTTON, SMITH, COMER, PLUMLEE, and HESTAND family lines in Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, and wherever else this research may take me. I may also add memorials for those individuals whose obituaries are published in the local newspapers and funeral homes. I will be happy to add family links upon request if I fail to notice to do so beforehand.|
Most of the pictures I take are from Fairview Cemetery, Grady County, Tuttle, OK 73089. However, with time and weather permitting, I am willing to assist others in trying to obtain photos of their loved ones' cemetery memorials in close proximity to this same area.
Transfer requests will be made within the Findagrave guidelines, for direct relatives within four generations, provided they are not related to me. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Please request transfers via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial transferred to you - please include your relationship.
The "Edits" and "Suggest a Correction" features may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above transfer guidelines.

Can you help with confirming that James Steen and Jane Graham also had a son named Joseph Steen b: 1785 d: 1861? Also married Sarah Unknown about 1798? Would you share the sources that were used to confirm marriage and children?
Thanks in advance for your assistance in the trek of finding proof for DAR applications!

JOHN is buried at the Riley (Riley/Laidley?) Cemetery, at Summersville, Texas County, Missouri. ANGELINE is buried at the ____________ Cemetery, at _______, _______ County, __________. There may be additional children. In 1870 the family was living at Texas County, Carroll Township, Page 387, Missouri with the parents, WILLIAM, and JANE TOLER (age 10, born IL). Sometime before 1873 JOHN died and ANGELINE remarried to CARTER RILEY (b. 19 Jan 1831 in KY; d. 08 May 1907 at Summersville, Texas County, Missouri) on 11 Dec 1873 at Texas Co., Missouri. In 1880 ANGELINE and CARTER RILEY were living at Texas County, Carrol Township, ED130, Sheet 12, Page 381, Missouri with six RILEY children (aged 22 to 6 years) and WILLIAM ROTHROCK, CARTER's stepson. JOHN's tombstone doesn't have any dates on it, but it does say Company A, 60th Missouri Infantry. Someone should order his Civil War Pension papers.
ANGELINE first married CALVIN TOLER (born c1829 at Wayne County, North Carolina; died 10 Jul 1864 at Vicksburg, Warren Co., MS; probably in the Civil War) on 15 Jul 1849 at Union County, Illinois and had four children: MARK (b. 1850), ALDIRA (b. 02 May 1852, d. 1919), MEDORA (b. 1855) and JANE (b. 15 Jul 1858). She then married JOHN SAMUEL ROTHROCK and then CARTER RILEY. JOHN was made guardian of ALDIRA and JANE in 1867. Some records show ANGELINE also married a WILLIAM E. RILEY. Was he mixed up with CARTER RILEY?

Donna, thanks so much for letting me know you had them up. Good find. Interesting that the writer of the obit did not know her parents. Her obit was my last hope in the correct given name of Artie.
Your cousin, Carolyn
