THERE IS A HEAVENLY GARDEN, by Otis Rainwater

Sometimes God picks the flower
That is still in bloom
Sometimes the rosebud's chosen
That we feel He's picked too soon
Sometimes the flower is fading
With petals floating down
But God knows the perfect time
To gather flowers from the ground
There is a heavenly garden
In which God takes great pleasure
Because He's placed within it
The loved ones that we treasure
He walks among the blossoms
Giving them eternal rest
And I know that it must please him
Because He chose our very best.

Used by permission. The perfect time for Otis to pass from this life came November 4, 2010.

Annie Hanson, Concord Baptist Church Cemetery
Concerning the suggested edit for Annie Hanson, I am her great-great grandson. I am also a Texas-licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer, which affords me unprecedented access to accurate information contained in death records. As much confidence that the previously spoken of gentleman probably has, who believes her maiden name to be "Weaver", he is unfortunately mistaken. I am in possession of death record documentation which says her maiden name is in fact, "Cogburn". I would be MORE than happy to provide you documentation that corroborates this information. If the other gentleman has documentation that precludes this from being changed he is welcome to compare and/or contrast it to mine.

Hello Wayne,
I've been researching and discovered Catherine Berry Palmer's mother, Mahulda Tunnell Berry was my 3rd GG Aunt. Her brother Stephen Tunnell was my 3rd GG grandfather. My father spoke often of the "Tunnell" connection. Pam

I have no problem with the way you have the memorial. His DC was signed by his son. Says birth was Dec 22, 1850 (off by 10 years), died Jan 7, 1929. Age 78 years, 15 days. Sounds right to me. Says he was buried the same day in Rock Hill Cemetery. Signed by the doctor the next day.

RE: John Buck, Rock Hill
His Death Certificate says he died on Jan 7, 1929. Whoever had his gravestone created estimated that he died in 1928. Had he died seven days earlier they would have been correct with the 1928 death year. Probably based on a census estimate.

I was merely referring to Jan 7 being 7 days past the estimated year that is on the gravestone.

Thanks for your great work in this cemetery. I have several distant relatives here and was just passing some time researching some of the folks buried here so their memorials could be a little more informative.

I will send a request to find a grave to merge the 2 memorials so no info is lost. Thanks, Slick

RE: George Dixon
Thank you Wayne for transferring George Dixon to me. Yes that is a good picture of George. I just recently came into possession of that picture and a picture of his wife Ada Bell Dixon.
Thanks again.
