We are Billy and Staci Mims, we have been married for 24 years and are the proud parents of 5 awesome "bees": Braedyn Leigh (21), Brandt Logan (19), Brianna Lauren (15), Bryleigh Lynnae (12) and Brielle Lily (5). We also have another son born sleeping, Brennan Love. Staci has been doing family research for about 12 years. Billy has just recently been bitten by the bug. We currently live in Southern Maryland but hope to move south. We are researching Billy's family which includes Mims, Smith, Robison/Robinson and Naron (and Springer, Lockley, Matthews and Bills). Once we move south we will be able to make the visits to the cemeteries ourselves, we can't wait! Geneaology is like a giant jigsaw puzzle just waiting for all of the pieces to be put together, and we love working on it together!|

Billy and Staci,
I am in Maryland visiting my daughter and I noticed you had three photo requests for a cemetery near their home. I just returned from the cemetery without the pictures. I was told their grave locations were none of my business since I'm not a family member and they accused me of getting paid for the pictures and wanted to know if I was putting them in a publication. I tried...

Ft. Lincoln Cemetery
In order to have your request fulfilled, please call Lincoln Cemetery and ask for the exact location of the grave. They can be a little difficult about giving out this information and it may take several calls. Just keep bugging them. 301-864-5090. Post the location in the memorial page in order to have your request fulfilled. It is impossible for requests to be fulfill the request without this info because they will not give it to us. The cemetery is huge and can not be walked.

I tried to add the grave marker photo but I got the message that the maximum photo count has already been reached. I think you would have to drop one of the existing photos and then it should be possible for me to put in the grave marker photo.

Your memorials are outstanding because of the material you have included--but they lack location
and family links. I have now transferred my duplicate of the wife's to you -- you can copy your biographical material onto it so that it appears like your other and then delete the other -- this way she has a location just like her husband. We could do the same with Henry Norval Jr. Please let me know. It is important that all memorials have a place and show their location, that's why this is called "find a grave" and it helps visitors in the future to find their graves by gps and/or section/plot instead of spending time inquiring in the cemetery office.

|Janet K||Bessie Mims in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw, MI|
I have been trying to fulfill your photo request for the resting place of Bessie Mims. I see that someone else has tried also. The problem is:
Forest Lawn Cemetery records have conflicting info. as to where Bessie is buried. The map online for section 4 does not match section 4 when you go to the cemetery itself, either.
The main record shows Bessie was buried in section 4 - Lot 43S.
Records 1 to 1 of 1
Cemetery-Section-Lot First Last Burial
F-4-S43 Bessie Mims Jul 31,1995
Date of Death

We have made every effort to be sure that all information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge. However, the Public Libraries of Saginaw and City of Saginaw do not warranty the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of the information published on this website and shall not be held liable
However, I also found this by searching the plot
in the cemetery records. It says S '2'3.
All Burials in F-4-S23
Space First Last Date of Death
4-S23 Bessie Mims Jul 24,1995
Date of Burial Marker

I'm sorry this note is so long! I am uploading photos for both plots on Bessie's memorial.

Looks like we are distant cousins. John and Miner (Whatley) Springer are my 4X great grandparents.
I found you because of your photo request for George Mims in Hazlehurst Cemetery, MS. I have not found him, yet. Do you have any idea what part of the cemetery he is in?

Thank you for the additional information. It's now added to his memorial page.

Ft. Lincoln is a huge active cemetery - 178 Acres. Please telephone Ft Lincoln at 1-301-887-4930 and get Locations for your loved ones, 2 requests at a time. Add them to your photo request and you will be more likely to have them fulfilled. I am planning on going to Ft. Lincoln on this Monday. If I have the location, I will gladly fulfill your request. Ft. Lincoln is not very accommodating so you may have to call several times.
I have been researching my family history and have had some success. I was trying to locate the grave of my Grandmother Mary Josephine (Carroll) Jones and Delano Jones. From what I was told by family memebers Mary was buried in Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. She was born in 1936 and died at age 26. My Grandfather Delano Jones was born 11/18/1933 and died 12/03/1989. He was living in (Escambia County) Atmore AL and I don't know if he was buried in Atmore or in (Lauderdale County) Florence AL. Any help you can provide finding there grave would be greatly appreciated.

There is not marker for Elizabeth Davis though the Resthaven office provided me with the location as Section Y-1949-1.
I wanted to tell you that after walking this section several times, the closest location I could pinpoint is shown in the forefront of the picture I posted on her memorial. The photo is looking to the SE from Frankfort Street on the left.
I will remove the photo if you tell me that is what you would prefer.
It makes me a little sad to find unmarked gravesites. The office has told me that a standard marker now costs $1,500.
Sorry to now be able to provide a photo of her site.
