I live in Maryland and have ancestors buried in Monmouth and Ocean Counties NJ. I visit NJ several times a year. On a recent visit, I located cemeteries to confirm dates on gravestones and update information online. I took pictures at the Old Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Plumstead Township,New Egypt, Ocean County, NJ of many paternal ancestors Oakerson(Okeson,Lokerson),and at Harmony cemetery in Jackson Township, Ocean County. My father's family is buried in Greenwood, Brielle and one of his brothers is in Mt. Olivet. Other Oakersons are buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold, Monmouth County. I also visited maternal ancestor graves of Fitzgibbon and Garity, Gerrity,etc. in the old section of St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold and Greenlawn Cemetery (White and Beakes) and Mt. Carmel (George W. and Anna Fitzgibbons Beakes) in West Long Branch both in Monmouth County. Pictures and relevant information will be posted as time permits.
