Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Loretta and I'm a genealogy addict ;-) I'm a freelance musician in Chicago. The surnames of my four grandparents are Gillespie, Loftice, Dimas and Bernal.
Many of my memorials are not family. I just take extra pics while visiting a cemetery. If they are relatives of yours feel free to ask for a transfer.
If you know a maiden name, relationship connection, correction or addition for any of my memorials please use the edit tab to let me know! Thanks :-)
If I've added a duplicate pic to a memorial of yours and you would like the space for personal photos just let me know and I'll delete mine. No hurt feelings ;-)
If you have a minute please take a look at my blog (linked below), Barking Up The Wrong Tree.

Adolph Sandhop's Gravestone Photograph
Happy New Year!
Thanks for the wonderful work you do.
May i use the photo of the gravestone of Adolph Sandhop (Melrose Cemetery, Chiccago) at his profile at WikiTree? I would of course give you the credit. Also, his wife's maiden name was Kruschwitz.
Thank you !

The picture you placed on this memorial is for a different Lydia Smith. Please delete. We all make goofs, so don't take this personally. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, especially at Crystal Springs cemetery in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Several of us are chipping away to photograph the headstones. With over 25,000 graves listed, it is slow going. Sincerely, Kathy J.

Montrose Cemetery says that they do not have Charles Pedroes. But you have posted a picture of his marker. Can you give me any idea where he is within the cemetery? I know that may be impossible with as many photos as you have posted but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Wow! What a great job you are doing! Would you mind transferring "ownership" of this memorial in Crystal Springs Cemetery, Michigan? I need to add his mother and father, etc to his memorial. Thank you again. Katalex23

Thanks, Kay

HI Loretta, my name is Luis Eloy Ramirez Cabrera and writing from Venezuela. I'm a historian, author, writer and baseball columnist. right now I devote a book entitled "El increible ascenso de los latinos en las grandes ligas". I'm trying to figure coincidentally two enigmas baseball: Charles Pedroes and Vicente Simental. Both would check if the first Cuban (Charles) in the twentieth century to play in MLB and Mexican (Vicente) to play in the history of MLB. Both would unpublished pioneers.was common as there are too many contradictions in the lives of these men as well put it into the Charles Pedroes information. According to the 1880 census, his mother told him as born in Cuba-Havana-Cuba and son of Justo Pedro. Charles himself in the 1900 census says he was born in Chicago on October 26, 1873, but most of the information placed the date as October 26, 1869. In your research, the issue becomes more confusing because you put the date as October 27, 1870 and his birthplace Ciego de Avila. Vicente Simental I played in the MLB as Sandy Nava, just accedi the 1900 census in Baltimore - Md., and appears on line 51 and Sandy Nava but a man of 49 who lived alone, away from... You say you are addicted to the genealogy, with these two cases on Charles and Vincent could do a very special job and reaching the category of myth.I'd give you what I possess Charles Pierre (Pedroes) and Vicente Simental (Sandy Nava) in America and your arm would look for the like? and of course everything would go as mutual research at the American Society for Baseball Research (SABR). I hope your answer luiseloy
