Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a genealogy researcher for more than thirty years my passion has taken me on quite a family history journey. The most distressing thing during this journey has been how many gravemarkers have been destroyed by time and the elements and by vandalism, but especially those graves that were never marked.

If I possessed all the money needed, I would see to it that each and every unmarked grave was given the rememberance that person deserves. So, I am happy to contribute to Find-A-Grave. I encourage others to do so as well.

My roots are in the Heart of Dixie. I have a keen interest in knowing about the soldiers of the 16th Regiment of Alabama Infantry, CSA, the 1st AL & TN Independent Vidette Cavalry, USA. I encourage anyone who has an ancestor in either of these regiments to please submit information about them to me for inclusion in my research.

William Thomas Woodard #120827413
You have duplicated the memorial for William Thomas Woodard #55678392. Notice, in the obituary, that he was buried at Zion Cemetery. He is buried there with his first wife, Julia Ann Curtis Woodard. I'm sure you can send the obituary you found to the owner of that memorial before deleting yours. It will make a nice addition because it gives the name of his second wife. Thanks.

William Tully Woodard
William Thomas Woodard was married to Wynona sakota Peebles. She was his first wife and he remarried after she passed away to Lillie. If you will look at the birthdate listed for Wm. Tully you will see that he was not born when Wynona S. married and her oldest child is older than William Tully. Thank you

RE: Kirk Chapel Cemetery photos
Carolyn - Has taken me most of the day to check my (thousands) of tombstone photos and recall that I had been to Kirks Chapel a couple of years ago and taken photos of some of the same markers Mary Carton shot back in January. I have a good clear photo of William Neely's broken marker and it clearly lists his death year as 1860. Do you want me to go ahead and place it on his memorial page???

RE: Kirk Chapel Cemetery photos
Glad to be of some service, Carolyn. Hope you noticed the captions on all the photos - they were all taken by Mary Carton. I was just the guy who cropped and enhanced and put them out there on FindAGrave. Happy New Year!

Minerva Eastham
Their suggestion:
Would you please share with me the surname of Wayne connected to Minerva Scales Peebles Eastham?

I have her husband's names as:
Ingram Blanks Peebles died 1847,
Edward W Rudder died 1853,
William Eastham died 1883.

Hi Carolyn,

I am not related to this family so I do not have any additional information other than what would be in the pictures or other info that has been passed on to me to be added to the profile.

Flannigan Cemetery Alabama
The cemetery has been abandoned, it's now deep in the woods, only access to it is to walk, there is one stone marked "F.M. Hagood" who married a Flannigan, his stone is about 2'x 3'clearly marked. the others are field stone's but still in place, I have pictures if interested.same cemetery name spelled Flanagin on here.

RE: Naramore
Hi Carolyn,
The entire family of Lucius Naromore have their town records & stones engraved as "Naromore" excluding Adrian's stone which is engraved as "Naramore". His death records it as "Naromore". I'm of no relation but came across it when loading all the photos. I just thought you might be interested - anything to make researching easier :)
Take care

RE: Naramore
I just made notation from the stone I photographed. This area does have both Naramore & Naromore. ?Spelling error by stone engraver possibly,
Take care

Mary E. Hurst
Your requested changes for Mary E. Hurst. Shouldn’t they instead be made for her father? Mary died at age two months, so she could not have had any children.
