So could you check above and you will see an Edits tab. If it has a number next to the word EDIT, it means you have work to do. choosing that tab will take you to a new page with proposed edits. at the bottom there is a way to say yes.
|Don DeWitt||Hi Steve|
On any memorial you will see an edit button which will take you to many new options. You cnan enter birth and death dates, make connections to spouse or parents, etc.
The downside is that as an owner of memorials you need to check your home page periodically to review the proposed edits by others about your memorials

Please check all the links and see if they are correct. Some of the dates you have are different than stone. I put your dates in the bio section so that the memorial is not duplicated with another dated stone.

I see the cemetery photo but I do not see a photo of Williams stone? - Is there no stone?
thanks for all you do,

I used Home Town Locator http://newjersey.hometownlocator.com/maps/feature-map,ftc,2,fid,2357004,n,oak%20ridge%20presbyterian%20church%20cemetery.cfm to get the lat,long for the cemetery, plugged it into google earth. Get a nice aerial view. It looks right now that the cemetery is all northwest of Oak Ridge Road, which is the line between counties, so the cemetery is now all inside Passaic County. Maybe that was not the way it was in the past. The present church is on the other side of the road in Morris county! Those are the facts, I don't know how to deal with the politics of it. When using google earth, you have to check borders 2nd level, to see county borders. I still have not found the exact address, but there is a website for the cemetery where you can call someone.
|Frederick Sieber||RE: Elizabeth Roome Post, Sarah Alyea Roome gravestones|
I found this in the findagrave FAQ:
What if I notice that there are duplicate listings for the same cemetery in the same county and I know that there is only one?
Please use the cemetery fix/update forum to submit cemetery updates or non-members use email@example.com. We will merge the cemetery records into one listing. It is particularly helpful if you have an address for the cemetery (we can add that to the cemetery's record, too).
What you could do is send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting the cemeteries me combined. I could do it, but you seem more knowledgeable about explaining why the two should be combined. They want the actual address of the cemetery. If the cemetery listings were combined it would be less confusing to those less familiar with the cemeteries. Thanks.
|Frederick Sieber||Elizabeth Roome Post, Sarah Alyea Roome gravestones|
Look at the picture for the gravestone of Elizabeth (Roome) Post at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=93356379, then at the picture of the gravestone for Sarah Alyea Roome at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=16712491. Observe that these two stones are right next to each other. I have a picture of them along with Elizabeth Roome's daughter Sarah Elizabeth to the left of them. They are all in the same cemetery. The memorial for Elizabeth Post shows them at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Morris County. The memorial for Sarah Roome has them in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Milford, Passaic County. So one of these two memorials has them in the wrong cemetery, but I do not know which it is. The death certificates would often say buried at "Oak Ridge Cemetery", particularly for Peter A Post, the husband of Elizabeth Post, and for his other wife Rachel Vanderhoff. It is hard to tell which cemetery the certificate means, but I would guess the one in West Milford. I am sending this message to both Celeste Simmons #47318155 and to Karen #46620305, and to Steve #47185058.
