I know a little about Carthage and one of its former illustrious Catholic citizens. thanks again for the Alfred photo.
He and a few other Carthaginians with Theodore Basselin started an association that resulted in today's Inlet. When his wife died around 1947, she left almost 50000 to st. james church to replace their wooden altars and communion rails with Italian marble. If you go to the altar rail there, go to the far left and look under the railing and you will see a plaque dedicating it to him and their family.
