I'm from a little town, Carthage, in upstate NY and I'm looking to help people when and if I can. I'm just getting into this whole genealogy thing and am having a great time with it. Feel free to email me with any questions or requests and I'll help you out if I'm able.|

HI I added the updates you sent. I haven't changed the birth date for the twins yet until I can double check on it. I see the stone says the year was 1877 but I have a death date for them as June 22, 1877. They died of whooping cough at age 9 months so that would have made the birth date Oct. 1876. I will look up in my family genealogy again to make sure.
You said you live in Carthage I went to high school there, I was born in Camps Mills all my ancestors were born in Jefferson Co. for generations back. I now live in Fl but still have a lot of family there
thank you for taking the time to take pictures

Thank you so much for taking the headstone photo, you did great even with it in the trees.
Is it OK if I post them on my online tree?
Thank you again for your time

I know a little about Carthage and one of its former illustrious Catholic citizens. thanks again for the Alfred photo.
He and a few other Carthaginians with Theodore Basselin started an association that resulted in today's Inlet. When his wife died around 1947, she left almost 50000 to st. james church to replace their wooden altars and communion rails with Italian marble. If you go to the altar rail there, go to the far left and look under the railing and you will see a plaque dedicating it to him and their family.

Thank you so much! The photos are fantastic. All I can say is WOW! Needless to say, I very much appreciate your effort to take photos of my ancestors, I have taken a few and know there's more to it than just snapping a photo. Sincerely, Mary Lou Stefanko
