Bio

I have been working on genealogy of the Christian and Elizabeth Ingold Singrey since 1968 when I had an assignment to trace my family tree. I was in the 9th grade. That got me excited, and slowly over the years with life happening, I finally got really involved in the early 1980's when my family took a trip to Switzerland to do some real research. Working with that information and then gleaning every bit from other family members, I began to compile that information. Using the original papers written by Daniel VanBuskirk in 1899, the telephone books and a trip to Indiana to visit distant Uncle Arnold Singrey, then many grave stone photos... I gathered family info form pages I sent to every Singrey name I could find. I finished the compilation and went to my publisher. They printed "The Descendants Of Christian and Elizabeth Ingold Singrey 1746-1993" for me. It contains 10 parts, the 1st being of Christian & Elizabeth the parents; then 2nd, daughter Elizabeth & Samuel Markey line; then 3rd, son Jacob and Rebecca Marshall Singrey line; the 4th, daughter Anna; 5th, son Christian; 6th daughter Alice; 7th, son John and Mary Lemmon Singrey & 2nd wife Margaret Finch; 8th, son Jehu and Jennie (Jane" Lemmon Singrey & 2nd wife Rachel Lemmon Singrey; and 9th, son Ingold Singrey.

It is past time to update the newer generations, soon going on 20 years! This site has been an immense help, as I can not travel all over the country. I have also picked up a generation from the early 1800's that I had no viable information for. So far, I have information on 5-6,000 relatives! Very exciting work! I have the Columbus Metropolitan Library's Genealogy floor to help with this task!

This is a great thing, "Find A Grave", kudos to who got this up and running! To personally e-mail me use: [email protected]
